Today 5 Professionals from the animal care industry took park in the Margaret River Ultra Marathon . Dr Martin Dolinschek president of the Australian Equine Veterinary Association and Director of WAVED equine dentistry, Tom Marett owner of Marett farriers and associate to Broad/Goodlands Farriers, Dr Michael Harwood Director of Oldbury Equine Clinic , Miriam Van Sprengel Veterinary nurse @ Baldivis Vets and Dr Sarah McLay veterinarian @ Murdoch Equine Hospital and Avon Ridge Equine Veterinary Services . Previously Dr Mike had run as part of the Murray Veterinary Services team. Dr Paul O Callaghan from Perth Equine Hospital was able to support with accomodation. Dr Stacee Brown from Baldivis Vets was our invaluable support crew.
We did this event to show the importance of collaboration and communication in the veterinary profession and how we all are very focussed on the mental health of all those in every aspect of our industry. We are here to support each other as strongly as we are here to care for your animals.
We want to take this opportunity to raise awareness of Sophie’s legacy a campaign to raise awareness of the pressures of the animal and veterinary industry and ask clients to be kind to their professionals and appreciate the work they do and the pressure they are always under. We have run our hearts out today and hope in return you will take 5 minutes to look at this website and read the information on it . Many thanks from all of us 🙏
