🔧 MONSTER INSTALL – PART 3: Laying the Rail

The preparation is done, the equipment is in place… now the install starts taking shape.

With a 40°+ terracotta roof, laying the rail requires precision, patience and plenty of care.

The rail is the foundation for the entire solar array, so getting it straight, secure and correctly positioned is critical before a single panel goes up.

🎥 Part 2: The equipment behind the install - This wasn't your average solar installation.
When we say no job is too difficult, this is what we mean. With a double storey home, 40°+ roof pitch, terracotta tiles and a 3 phase system, safety and planning were everything.
🚜 An all terrain scissor lift was brought in to safely lift the panels into position, allowing our team to tackle this challenging roof with confidence.
At Off the Grid, we have the experience, equipment and expertise to complete even the toughest installations.

Not every solar installation is straightforward... and this one certainly isn't!
This is one of the toughest residential installs we've tackled, with just about every challenge thrown at us:

🏡 Double storey home
⚡ 3 phase installation
📐 40°+ roof pitch
🧱 Terracotta roof tiles
🚜 An all terrain scissor lift required just to safely position the panels

These are the kinds of projects that demand careful planning, specialised equipment, and an experienced installation team. Safety isn't optional, it's at the centre of everything we do.
