Water is fundamental to life. From human consumption to the health of our terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, water quality underpins the wellbeing of every living organism. When water becomes contaminated with harmful chemicals, the consequences can be severe — not only through direct consumption, but also through irrigated crops, contaminated seafood, and recreational exposure.

𝐀𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞.
While naturally occurring, it can also enter our waterways through mining and manufacturing activities. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), long-term exposure to high levels of inorganic arsenic can lead to cancer, skin lesions, and serious cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic diseases. Australia’s Drinking Water Guideline sets a strict maximum of 0.01 mg/L for arsenic in drinking water — highlighting just how critical accurate monitoring is.
