💼April Business Breakfast Wrap-Up & Thank You!
This morning, Thursday 23rd of April we held our bi-monthly Business Breakfast. It was wonderful to see so many of our members in attendance and to have the opportunity to hear from some of them!
We were joined by Ali Cooke from Cancer Council NSW who discussed the amazing work they do to support individuals and their loved ones during their cancer journeys. Fundraising initiatives including Stars of the Hunter provide vital funds to support their ongoing work. Business Singleton is proud to sponsor local star Tim Shields as he works towards his fundraising goal of $20,000. You can see how he's doing here: https://stars.cancercouncil.com.au/fundraisers/timshields/stars-of-the-hunter
Business breakfasts also provide the opportunity to highlight the work of our members and hear what's going on in their businesses. This month we heard from:
🌟The Hunter Jewellers' Scott Yeomans who discussed what services they have to offer from design and manufacturing, restorations and repairs, to buying and selling.
🌟School of Computer and Information Sciences - University of Newcastle Associate Professor Yuqing Lin discussed opportunities to collaborate within an ever-evolving AI landscape and the role AI is playing in sectors including healthcare, energy, and resources.
🌟Hunter Valley Operations General Manager, Dave Foster gave an overview of their continuation project and the approvals process. They are now seeking community support to extend operations by signing their Continuation Project Letter of Support at https://www.hvo.com.au/
A big thank you to our sponsor for the event AGL, and to the team at Singleton Diggers for running the event effortlessly.
To all who attended our breakfast, thank you for coming along; for listening, presenting, and networking. It was great to see our members and newcomers alike!
We hope to see you all at one of our future events!
