Strengthening Community Connectivity with Queensland SES – Northern Region

We were proud to spend time with the SES Northern Region last week, introducing their teams to the newly purchased ARNI portable communications systems designed to enhance operational connectivity across Queensland.

During the familiarisation session, SES volunteers and staff explored how these rapidly deployable systems can support emergency operations, boost situational awareness, and keep communities connected when it matters most.

At AirBridge, we’re committed to empowering frontline agencies with reliable, mission‑ready technology. It’s a privilege to work alongside the SES as they continue to build resilient, connected communities across the Northern Region.

We are very excited to announce that in a landmark collaboration a major state government agency in collaboration with AirBridge Networks, has successfully implemented the first phase of the Vehicle and Vessel as a Node (VaaN) program. The initiative delivers high-performance, reliable connectivity across both land and maritime fleets, enabling safer operations, faster response times, and greater operational visibility through cutting-edge satellite and network technology.

The first phase of the Vehicle and Vessel as a Node (VaaN) program has been successfully deployed, providing an Australian state government agency with robust, high-performance connectivity for its fleet. Delivered in partnership with AirBridge Networks, the program integrates seamlessly across vehicles and vessels using newly developed slim-fit housing.
The deployment leverages Vocus Satellite – Starlink technology, combined with a multi-WAN Peplink architecture to ensure redundancy and centralised management. This infrastructure enables government agencies to maintain reliable communications across regional and remote areas, enhancing both maritime and road safety while supporting faster operational response times.

By scaling this solution under a multiyear program, the initiative is set to expand to additional government agencies, demonstrating the transformative impact of connected fleet operations on public service efficiency and safety.
