This week’s meditation is centred around slowing the breath. I often notice how differently the body responds when we allow ourselves to breathe just a little more slowly and fully.

Today’s one minute practice invites you to inhale slowly through the nose and exhale just a little longer than your inhale. A very small shift that can create a meaningful sense of calm.

You may like to return to this practice throughout the week, especially during moments where you would enjoy feeling more grounded and present.

Last month, I found myself taking a few deeper breaths between meetings, and it reminded me how powerful small moments of awareness can be. This week, you may like to try something simple with me. Pause three times throughout your day and gently notice your breath.

No need to change anything. Just notice. Often, it is within these small pauses that we reconnect with ourselves again. A little more softness. A little more clarity. A gentle reminder that we are here. I hope this practice offers you a quiet moment of calm somewhere in your week.

If you’re new here, I’d love to invite you to begin simply.

Throughout this space, I’ll be sharing one minute meditations, breathing practices, stillness exercises, gentle rituals and small ways to bring retreat into everyday life. Some practices may support sleep and rest. Others may help create moments of calm, clarity or reconnection throughout the day.

There will also be reflections from retreats, wellness experiences and the practices I continue to return to myself. You may like to begin by joining me each Monday for a one minute meditation and then gently explore the practices shared throughout the week.

There is nothing to achieve here. Just small moments of care and connection that you can return to in your own way and at your own pace. With warmth, Lyndall

Over time, I’ve come to believe that wellbeing is often supported through the smallest daily practices. A conscious breath. A slower meal. A walk. A moment of stillness before moving into the next part of the day.

I’ve seen how these gentle moments can help people feel more grounded, calm and connected within themselves over time. Many of the practices I share here have been shaped through my work at Aurora, through the creation of ASPAR, and through years spent exploring wellness practices around the world. My hope is that this space offers simple and supportive ways to care for yourself within everyday life, in a way that feels realistic, nurturing and sustainable.

There is something deeply comforting about creating a gentle rhythm at the end of the day.

Recently, I’ve been returning to a very simple evening ritual. Dimming the lights a little earlier, applying a calming oil, and taking a few slow breaths before the evening unfolds. These small moments have a beautiful way of helping the body feel safe enough to rest. Over time, they begin to create a sense of calm that carries into so many parts of life.

You may like to create your own version of an evening reset this week. Something simple that helps you settle into the evening

Hello and welcome. I’m Lyndall and I am so glad we have found each other. Over the past three decades, I've been practing wellness and bringing these practices to you, through retreats, spas, coaching, books and daily rituals that help people feel more connected to themselves and to their lives.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many incredible people, and one thing continues to stay with me. Most people are simply looking for a way to feel a little calmer, more grounded and more supported in the midst of full lives.

This space is where I’ll share some of the practices, reflections and rituals that continue to support me personally and the people I work with every day. I’m so glad you’re here and I hope this space feels supportive, gentle and welcoming for you. With warmth, Lyndall

Refuelling with family. 🤍
Amsterdam was the perfect place to begin.

In the lead-up to flying, I like to be really intentional with how I prepare - staying active, increasing electrolytes a few days prior, prepping simple nourishing food and superfood snacks for the journey, and downloading meditations to support rest in transit.

After 16 hours of sleep across the flights, we arrived feeling surprisingly fresh. On landing, I went straight into a contrast therapy session to help reset and reduce any lingering jet lag.

What struck me most about Amsterdam was its daily rhythm. People cycling everywhere, rain, hail or shine. Movement not as exercise, but simply as a way of life.

There’s something powerful about a culture that builds wellbeing into the everyday.

A beautiful reminder that retreat doesn’t always have to be somewhere we go. Sometimes it’s found in the small rituals that support how we want to feel - how we move, how we eat, how we recover, and how we connect.

✨ Living in retreat.

This month, I’d love us to gently explore the practice of breath together. So often, we move through our days without noticing how we are breathing, yet the breath is always there quietly supporting us.

Lately, I’ve been reminded how even one conscious breath can soften the body and create a sense of calm within moments. Today’s one minute meditation is simply an invitation to pause. To notice where you are. To soften your shoulders and arrive more fully into the present moment.

You may like to return to this throughout the week whenever you feel called to slow down and reconnect with yourself again.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to share that Aurora Spa & Bathhouse has been named a finalist for Independent Spa Business of the Year at the World Spa & Wellness Awards 2026.

This recognition feels especially meaningful - not just for what we do, but for why we do it.

Aurora was created as a space to slow down, reconnect and care for the whole self. Over time, it has become something shaped by many - our team, our guests, and a shared belief in the power of rest, ritual and considered wellbeing.

To be recognised on a global stage alongside such inspiring leaders in our industry is something we don’t take lightly.

To our incredible team - your care, presence and dedication are felt in every guest experience.
To our guests - thank you for trusting us with your time, and for continuing to return.

We’re deeply grateful.

With warmth,
Lyndall

Before the month ends, you might like to notice what has changed.

As February draws to a close, pause for a moment and reflect:
• What have you learned about switching off?
• Are there moments where you can rest more deeply now than a month ago?
• Which small rituals – a bath, a breath, a darker bedroom, a slower meal – are beginning to support you?

Learning to switch off is not a single achievement. It is a rhythm we return to, again and again.

My hope is that this month has offered you a little more safety in your body, a little more softness around rest, and a clearer sense that wellbeing can be lived gently over time.
