A question we've been asking ourselves lately:

If Lean thinking eliminates waste in how your business runs — what does AI eliminate?

The answer, it turns out, is the time it takes to build the fix.

Writing a Standard Work procedure used to take days. With AI working alongside you in the session, it takes an afternoon. Organising your workplace so everything has a place and nothing goes missing? Less mess. Less stress. More success — and AI-generated systems that make it stick. Documenting a root cause analysis so the fix holds? Done before you leave the room.

We've woven practical AI tools into all three of our May short courses — not as a feature, not as a demo, but as a genuine accelerator that gets the output built faster so you walk out with something working.

Lean + AI. Why not both?

Courses starting 7 May across Tasmania — in person in Burnie and online. Subsidised from $270 per person.

Ever done a training course and forgotten most of it by Monday? There's a reason for that - and it's not you!!

Clynton breaks it down in this clip. Worth 60 seconds of your time.
Our Lean Leader Simulated Work Environment is built on exactly this principle — three rounds of hands-on learning where your team actually does the work, applies Lean tools, and measures real improvement in safety, quality, speed and cost.

One day of introductory learning, no death by PowerPoint. Just practical skills your team can use the very next day in the Simulated Work Environment.

Productivity Improvers delivered our 'Lean Leader Mobile Car Game' last Wednesday and Thursday as a pilot program for the Southern region of Tasmania. Participants were a lively group sourced from multiple manufacturing industries. Trainer Michael Bonney helped students to learn how to use Lean tools to streamline their roles. The two teams within the class were able to meet their target of building 14 race cars per team by the conclusion of the day, focusing on People and Quality first.

Feedback from the participants indicated they were keen to view their own worksites with fresh eyes, chase the waste in what they do, and planned to implement some changes to make their roles more efficient.

This program was possible thanks to a collaboration with Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing and Energy Council and through Advanced Manufacturing Productivity Program funding provided by Tasmanian Department of State Growth.
