Buster here. I told you I would tell you more of how your financial support is used to help animals. Firstly, and most importantly , HPH is a NO KILL SHELTER, and every single animal gets the best possible chance no matter what. Animals that arrive in good health still get a vet check and then they might need to be desexed, then get chipped, have their vaccinations updated and be started on a regime of regular parasite control. That’s the healthy guys. But what about the ones that aren’t in the pink of health. For instance the little dog in this post is obviously undernourished.Apart from the normal stuff, he needed to be fed up and loved up before he was ready for adoption. The little kitten being hand fed , arrived without a Mum so all care had to be done on a very tight timetable. And then there is the cat, a resident here , who developed an eye condition which quickly ulcerated and,unfortunately , resulted in the removal of the eye. But he is getting on fine and is in safe hands at HPH. So you can see how the most important concern is the welfare of all the animals.
