💛 Supporting young people in our Bundaberg community

Mystery Craters is proud to support Youth Insearch QLD Central’s Brighter Day – Building Connection & Belonging, being held at Riverfeast on Friday 16 October.

Youth Insearch supports young people aged 12–25 through youth-led, peer-driven programs, connecting them with trained Peer Workers who understand what it can be like to face difficult times.

Through one-on-one peer support, weekly groups, workshops and camps, they create safe and welcoming spaces where young people can talk openly, build confidence, form connections and feel heard and valued.

For us, Mystery Craters has an aspiration beyond tourism. We want to contribute positively to the people and community around us, and supporting initiatives that help young people feel connected, valued and less alone is very much part of that.

I’m so excited!! ✨

What a beautiful announcement to receive on World Gratitude Day — Mystery Craters has been named a finalist in the 2026 Queensland Tourism Awards.

We have poured so much love, energy and belief into bringing this very special place back to life, so to be recognised alongside such incredible tourism operators from across Queensland means more than I can say.

For us, Mystery Craters is about wonder, curiosity, connection and creating a place where people can slow down, explore and hopefully leave feeling just a little better than when they arrived.

Feeling very grateful today. 💛

There’s something beautiful about watching good friends simply enjoy being together. 🤍

During Taste Bundaberg Festival, these two beautiful friends spent time at Mystery Craters — sharing food, surrounded by nature, laughing, talking and making time for each other.

It was such a simple moment, but such a beautiful reminder:

✨ Friendship deserves time.
Time to connect.
Time to laugh.
Time to simply be together.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments are the simplest ones. 🌿

What if beauty isn’t always something we see — but something we feel? 🌿

There is something powerful in pausing long enough to notice what lies beneath the surface.

To feel without judgement.
To become curious without needing an answer.
To leave a little room for wonder.

At Mystery Craters, the Earth holds a mystery that continues to invite questions. And perhaps that is part of its beauty.

A reminder that we don’t always need to explain everything we experience.

Sometimes, we can simply pause.
Notice.
Feel.
Wonder.

The beauty beneath

Three years later, they came back with a gift. 💎❤️

When Shane and Cheri from Canada first visited Mystery Craters three years ago, we had no idea their visit would become part of our story.

When they returned, they brought with them boxes of beautiful crystals from Canada, especially for us.

We are so grateful. Not only for this incredibly thoughtful gift, but for the connection behind it — and for knowing that Mystery Craters stayed with them long after their first visit.

Thank you, Shane and Cheri. These crystals, and the story behind them, will always have a special place here. ❤️

Someone left this in our Reflective Space at Mystery Craters…

We don’t know who wrote it, or what their story is. But their words stayed with us. 💛

So we’re beginning to share some of the thoughts, questions and stories people leave behind here.

Perhaps they’ll create something in you, too.

What’s your story?
