Coastal Scales & Registers offer our deepest sympathy to all those affected by ex-Cyclone Debbie. Personally, I have never seen anything like this in my 30+ years in the region.
When I finally managed to travel from Ballina on Sunday to check on our business, I could not believe my eyes. Our company survived, so I helped out where I could on Sunday over South Lismore.
Today was the first time I ventured into the CBD and I nearly cried. No amount of social media or television can prepare you for a vision like that -and this is days after the cleanup began.
We have tried to get our suppliers on board with a bit of assistance - without much success unfortunately. You know what city people are like! I am pleased to say however our friends at Ohaus and Mettler Toledo (scales), Ecomed (health industry scales, etc) and Sektor (Point of Sale equipment) are helping us to support you.
Whilst the offers are 5%, 10% or "the best we can do", we have decided to match or better that.
We will give any flood affected business in Northern NSW (including the Tweed region) a 10% discount off any item we sell (stocked or ordered especially).
To our loyal customers over our 32 years of trading, we will do better. Mainstream items will generally be 20% (some times less OR more)!

Prices quoted above are for the benefit of our loyal customers who genuinely lost their equipment in the floods. If it takes you a month to rebuild - we will still honour this.
Some of our suppliers have helped a bit, and we thank them - we're matching or bettering it. It's not much, but every little bit counts.
