With The Devil Wears Prada 2 officially here, it felt like an appropriate moment to reflect.

Not on fashion, of course – we’re well across that. But on standards.

Because while the rest of the world may be brushing up on the film’s finest lines, our clients have been living by a similar code to her for quite some time now: things done properly, promptly and without unnecessary fuss.

So, naturally, a few quotes from the film felt… familiar to us. Here are the ones that stood out.

Wondering what a day with Acquaint might look like? Here's a snippet from the day in the life of one of our clients. And what a day it was!

0900 I went upstairs and stripped ###'s and carers bed linen and into the wash, wiped down kitchen counters and light switches. Completed a big vacuum in all areas.
0930 ### getting ready for the morning so I attended to watering the plants in front and back yard and hung wet linen out to dry.
1130 we took a big walk up to [place] to visit one of ###'s childhood friends, ###'s mobility during this walk was fantastic and he states that his new orthotic shoes are great.
I gave some privacy for ### during his visit.
1310 back home and I prepared lunch for ### - all consumed! Encouraged ### to sit and have a glass of water- effective.
Watered more plants while ### had his lunch and some phone calls and got rid of some obvious cobwebs!
1600hrs- together we started polishing all silverware cutlery - ### stated that he likes Mozart music so I put it on Spotify for him for some background noise- he was very pleased!
1700 ### put on the antique roadshow and had a sleep on the couch watching the news. I finished off the polishing and started preparing dinner at 1830.
### had a beef pie with roasted potatoes and peas. Consumed all with a glass of wine. After dinner I got all the washing off the line and re made ### and carers bed with clean linen. Finished off all dishes for the night. ### in bed by 2200hrs. ### slept well during the night.
