In our Caulfield Residence kitchen, grand proportions meet a quiet, pared-back elegance. A muted palette and thickened walls create a sense of permanence, while the large circular skylight floods the space with shifting light and shadow. Robust stone forms and finely crafted timber are softened by the gentle curvature of the ceiling, and deep window reveals frame select garden views, connecting this refined interior to its lush surrounds.

Conceived as a sanctuary within the wellness wing of our Caulfield Residence, the magnesium bath offers a moment of stillness and renewal. More than a functional space, it is designed as a retreat for restoration — a place where the body is calmed and the mind quietened. The architecture emphasises presence and ritual, heightening the sense of immersion while maintaining an intimacy and privacy suited to daily use. For the client, it embodies a luxurious dedication to wellbeing, bringing the qualities of a spa into the permanence and comfort of home.

The kitchen of our Dune Residence (located outside of Auckland, New Zealand) is conceived as a single, monolithic element within the wider coastal landscape. A long stone island anchors the space, its restrained form balanced by expansive glazing and uninterrupted views towards the sea. Beyond, the curved perimeter wall gradually falls away, drawing the landscape into the interior while maintaining a sense of shelter and enclosure. A quiet palette of pale stone, polished concrete and textured plaster allows light, material and outlook to define the space.

Our Dune Residence is defined by a continuous circular perimeter wall, creating a strong sense of enclosure as the home settles quietly into its coastal setting. Towards the front, this wall gradually sweeps down, opening the residence to the surrounding dune landscape and drawing views towards the sea beyond. The result is a balance of privacy and connection—an otherwise restrained, monolithic form softened through its relationship with the landscape.

Located outside Auckland, New Zealand, our Dune Residence is a new coastal home conceived as a quiet extension of the surrounding dune landscape. Here, the bedroom opens directly towards the ocean, with a sweeping curved wall framing the view and providing a sense of privacy and enclosure. A restrained palette of textured plaster, pale stone and polished concrete draws from the muted tones of the coast, while an overhead oculus introduces changing natural light throughout the day. The architecture is deliberately pared back, allowing landscape, light and material to define the experience of the space.
