“Everyone will use this.”

It sounds like confidence.
But in product development, it can be a warning sign.

Because if your answer to “Who is this for?” is everyone, you probably haven’t defined your audience clearly enough.

Great products usually start narrow:

One specific audience.
One specific problem.
One clear reason to choose you.

You can expand your market later.

But trying to build, market and sell to everyone from day one usually means you're building for no one in particular.

So before you build your next feature, answer this:

Who is the first person this product is really for?
