Arrived in Manchester for the WOMEX Global Music Conference with .ahn and . What a powerful moment to see Lidia Thorpe on TV in our hotel reception and front page news in The Guardian UK! 🌍 It’s inspiring to witness this message spreading globally in real time. This isn't a new conversation, but one that demands urgent attention.

Our intention here is to learn, connect, and collaborate with Indigenous creatives and cultural practitioners worldwide and return home with knowledge to share with our communities. We want to drive real systemic change in the Australian contemporary music industry and see improvements for our artists and the broader community.

To arrive for on the same day that Lidia challenges the monarchy on Treaty has empowered us deeply. Big Esso to Lidia for your courage and strength ✊🏾

Let's amplify these voices together.

I feel incredibly proud and empowered to be nominated for the ALH Hotels Music Leadership Award alongside Susan Cotchin and Kat McGuffie. It’s also so heartwarming to be nominated alongside other mob like Toni Janke, Mo’ju and Tait McGregor.

I can’t be at the Awards tonight because I’m in beautiful Aotearoa for my fellowship. I have been lucky to learn with other Indigenous peoples and creating many stories along the way.

Best of luck to all nominees at the Awards and I’m looking forward to sharing yarns about what I’ve been up to with you all soon - Kerry

Last night, our fearless leader took home the Community Engagement Award at the Awards!! 🎉🏆

Held on the beautiful lands of the Wongal and Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, Kerry was grateful to receive a beautiful welcome from sister Savannah on behalf of her people 🖤

A few words from our CEO; “I am deeply honored to receive acknowledgement from my colleagues in the Association of Artist Managers community.

This is a national award, and it feels so incredibly epic to be appreciated by such an inspiring community. This award is important to me, as community has always been in my heart!

As a black, q***r, woman, working in these spaces, I have often felt alone or that I’m doing it wrong compared to my fellow non-indigenous managers in the community.

Receiving this award has reinforced the strength, drive and passion that I have for my work. I know that I am on the right track, and if I want to positively benefit my Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music community in the future, than disrupting the norm is what I must do!

Thank you to those that help me get here, esso (thanks) for seeing me, for hearing me and respecting my way of working.”

Kerry would also like to congratulate her fellow nominees for their incredible work to community:

Hayley-Jane Ayer’s of
Jannah Beth of
Time Levinson of
Zac Abroms of

Lastly a special thank you for presenting this award and to all the sponsors!

Congratulations Kerry!! 🎉
