It was a pleasure to join Experience Gold Coast this Friday as a guest speaker for their Kickstart Graduates program.
Over 90 minutes, we explored the DISC model and how greater self-awareness and communication adaptability can strengthen workplace relationships, collaboration, and career growth.
We also had some fun putting the theory into practice with a "Guess the Celebrity's DISC Style" activity, helping participants connect DISC concepts to real-world behaviours.
Judging by the feedback, there were plenty of "Aha!" moments throughout the session:
โ Learning how to adapt communication styles to better connect with different personalities.
โ Developing greater self-awareness around individual strengths, challenges, and behavioural tendencies.
โ Understanding how different DISC styles influence conflict resolution, teamwork, and leadership relationships.
A huge thank you to Experience Gold Coast for the invitation, and to all the Kickstart Graduates for their openness, enthusiasm, and thoughtful engagement throughout the workshop.
One of the most rewarding parts of facilitating DISC workshops is seeing that moment when people realise communication isn't about changing who they are.
It's about understanding others and adapting their approach to build stronger relationships.
