Following the wonderful success of the 2026 Peter Allen Festival, we're thrilled to announce that we'll be back in Tenterfield in 2027 for another fabulous weekend celebrating the music, life and extraordinary legacy of Peter Allen!

And we're planning something even bigger and better!

Get ready for fabulous live music, exciting new performers, fun competitions, karaoke, dancing, mass singalongs, wonderful food and w**e, and plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved.

We're bringing together the magic of Peter Allen's music with the warmth, charm and genuine country hospitality that makes Tenterfield such a special place.

Whether you're a lifelong Peter Allen fan, love a great weekend of entertainment, or simply enjoy discovering everything this beautiful region has to offer, there'll be something for everyone.

And there's even more exciting news!

We're already planning ahead, with the 2028 Peter Allen Festival scheduled for October 13, 14 & 15, 2028!

Our vision is to build the Peter Allen Festival into a much-loved annual celebration that brings visitors, performers and communities together, supports local businesses and showcases the very best of Tenterfield.

🏁 EMMAVILLE… WHO’S UP FOR A CHALLENGE? 🏁

We reckon there’s a bit of competitive spirit hiding around the New England and North West! 😏

So here’s a question…

Which town, business, workplace or group of mates reckons they could build the fastest mine cart? 🛠️💨

Would Glen Innes take the honours? Could Inverell surprise everyone? Perhaps Armidale, Tenterfield, Moree or Tamworth might have a few contenders ready to show us how it’s done!

There’s only one way to find out!

The inaugural EMMAVILLE MINE CART FESTIVAL is coming to Emmaville Oval on Saturday, 6 March 2027.

And remember — there’s a twist!

⏳ You only get FOUR WEEKS to build your mine cart! Construction cannot begin until 6 February 2027.

It’s going to take creativity, teamwork, a little ingenuity and perhaps a healthy dose of competitive spirit!

And the best part? Festival profits will support the Emmaville Mining Museum, helping preserve our mining heritage for future generations.

🧀 Come for the w**e. Make room for the food. A Granite Belt getaway should never be rushed particularly where lunch is concerned. Local produce, cheese, seasonal
flavours and something grown just down the road in your glass.

🍷 Pick up a few favourites and bring them back to Quaffers for later. Holidays are no
time for counting cheese. 😉
