The Bruce Harris Shark Cat - a legendary Aussie brand, born right here on the Gold Coast.
Bruce Harris taught himself boat building, shaped his first hull in a mould under his own house, and turned it into Australia's most iconic catamaran brand.

If you've ever wanted to own a rare piece of Aussie boating history, now is your chance. This original 560 Shark Cat has had a full under-floor rebuild, twin 90HP Mercs with just 502 hours each, and all the electronics. Soft, dry and dead stable, exactly what these cats are famous for.

The same cult classic, for a fraction of the price of a new one. $64,990, and reasonable offers are welcome. Boats like this don't come up often.

Buying a used boat?

Take a minute to read Skip's quick checklist and potentially save yourself some pain later.

- Don't get hung up on the year - a well-maintained older hull with a
newer motor is often the smart purchase.
- Start with the engine - hours, service history, how it runs cold - then the hull and the trailer.
- And ideally, get an independent inspection before you hand over any
money - it's the cheapest insurance there is.

Thinking about a boat this season? Come and talk to us first.

Out on the Logan River, talking Acraft...

Watch how quickly an Acraft gets up on the plane - the deep-vee plate aluminium hull is doing its job. Fast onto the plane, then cutting the chop and riding soft once you're there.

We've got a couple of different models in stock right now - both used and new - so there's a size and setup to suit how you get out on the water.

Come and see the range, or ask us about finance and Australia-wide delivery.

Small but mighty - vanlife vibes, without the van price.

Don't let the size fool you of these two little escape pods fool you, they
punch well above their weight - quick to tow, quick to set up, and a lot
more clever inside than they look.

The Cuztom Pod (8ft, $16,990) sleeps two with a 270-degree awning
and roof racks for all your gear. The Travelbug Teardrop (9.5ft,
$19,990) brings a full annexe and a proper solar setup, ready to go
off-grid.

If a full-size van feels like more than you need, this is your weekend
escape plan.

Life's short. Go fishing!
The QLD snapper and pearl perch closure lifts this weekend, so the
reefs are back on. Our latest stock update just landed and there's plenty to get you out on the water - a barely-run-in Formosa, a fully-rigged Wellcraft, a new Acraft SL525.
And for the dry-land warriors - two off-road hybrids to chase the dry up north.

Not many people in the country can sell you an Acraft, and Skip's one of them.
Yatala Boats & Caravans was Acraft's first exclusive dealer in Australia, and we're one of only two authorised distributors in the country.

So when Skip walks you around an Acraft, you're hearing from someone who knows them inside out. Plate alloy hulls built for Aussie water, exceptional quality finishes, designed for comfort in extreme conditions.

Right now we've got three different Acraft models in the yard - different sizes and layouts, same build quality underneath.
Don't waste the winter - come and have a look at the range and we'll help you work out which one suits the way you get out on the water.

And don't forget - we deliver Australia-wide!

Winter doesn't wait.
The tracks in the north of the country are dry and open, and it's the most settled weather of the year out on the reefs.

Our mid-winter newsletter just landed - with five ideal winter rigs for land or water, and Skip's advice on full off-road vs semi off-road.

Skip's take on semi off-road vs full off-road, and the common thing that often gets overlooked until you're four days out and looking at an empty water tank 😬

If you're thinking about doing the Cape this year, now is the time - clear dry roads for about two months ahead.

But make sure you get the right setup. Come in for a chat, and watch out for our stock update next week - we've got fresh stock landing that will help you make the most of this winter.
