BUT....
If we don't educate clients on the importance of concept drawings for each and every project, big or small, we're setting ourselves up for costly mistakes and headaches down the line.
Here's the reality: if clients aren't willing to invest upfront in the design and feasibility phase of the project, they're risking far more than just a few extra bucks. They're gambling with the quality and success of their project – and we're setting our teams up to fail, with the headache becoming ours to manage.
If a potential client is unwilling to pay for your time and expertise at the beginning, they sure as heck won't be footing the bill to fix inevitable mistakes later on.
It's time to draw the line and prioritize educating clients on the importance of laying a solid foundation for their projects. If they're not prepared to invest in success, consider whether it's the right job to shoulder your team with.
