This morning our BDM Matthew was up before sunrise to attend the Aus Living Support Stay Safe 50 Launch at Goodlife Community Centre in Buderim -- and it was worth every early alarm.

Aus Living Support is a Sunshine Coast charity that's been quietly doing remarkable work since 2018. Founded by Ian, Leanne, Desi and Kent, they supported 240 local families last year. Just the four of them.

What makes them special is how they work. They don't wait until someone is homeless -- they step in before that happens. They cover rent and mortgage support to keep families in their homes. They get vulnerable kids back to school with uniforms, shoes and backpacks. They open their op shop doors and give people experiencing homelessness what they need, no questions asked. Every single dollar raised stays right here on the Sunshine Coast.

Today they launched Stay Safe 50 -- a simple ask for local businesses to contribute what you can a week (fully tax deductible). For example four businesses at $50 each keeps one family stable for a week. That's it.

Federal Member for Fairfax Ted O'Brien (newly announced patron), Lord Mayor Rosanne Natoli and Fiona Simpson all showed up to back this cause -- and it was great to see the Buderim Foundation, Heart & Sold Real Estate and Montville Coffee recognised for the quiet, consistent support they've given this organisation.

At Blue Seas AI we believe great businesses build great communities. We love raising awareness for noble causes like this one -- and Aus Living Support is as worthy as they come.

If your business can spare $50 a week for your own backyard, check out the link below.

We were at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Procurement Event on the Sunshine Coast yesterday morning and wow - what a turnout.

600 local businesses packed the room. Another 300 on the waiting list. The largest event of its kind in the state.

The message from every speaker was clear: the opportunity is massive, and the time to start preparing is now.

Here's what we learned:

Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie MP - $117 billion in state infrastructure over the next three years. Rail from Beerwah to Caloundra, metro through to Maroochydore CBD and the airport, a new 10,000-seat stadium, Mooloolah River Interchange (already under construction), and an arena in Maroochydore.

Minister Tim Mander MP - State Member for Everton - $2.5 billion in procurement contracts for the Games. In Paris, 80% went to local small businesses. That's the goal here too.

Minister Steve Minnikin MP - "Peak AI will be the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games here in Queensland." Technology, AI-powered security, digital access systems - it's all part of the plan.

Rob McRuvie (Director of Procurement, Brisbane 2032) - Register on the ICN Gateway. That's where every work package goes. 70+ packages listed now, heading to 500-600. If you haven't done a tendering workshop, do one. Half the submissions he gets are dismissed because they don't answer the question.

Genevieve De Michele (Wave Rail) - Major civil contracts being awarded in months.

Matthias Schlotterbach (Wave Metro) - Infrastructure package award by October this year.

Debra Robinson (Sunshine Coast Council) - Mountain bike facility design packages hitting the market later this year. Council is looking for local businesses that can demonstrate local presence, local economic impact, community support, and sustainability.

Alister Eiseman (Kawana Chamber of Commerce) - Think about how your business can adapt to offer what 2032 needs. Start preparing now.

We had a great chat with JP from the ICN team after the event. If you're a Sunshine Coast business, this is your moment. Don't miss it.

Here's a simple example of this working in practice.

A client got invited to speak on a local roundtable about workplace technology trends. Not their usual area. One afternoon to get properly across it.

They used three tools:

Perplexity - researched the topic in real-time, with sources they could actually verify. About 30 minutes.

NotebookLM - found a relevant podcast they didn't have time to listen to. Pasted the URL in, had a clear synthesis back in minutes.

Gamma - turned their key points into a clean one-page brief to take into the room.

Under an hour total. They walked in informed and left with three good follow-up conversations.

We get asked a lot: why these tools and not Claude?

We use Claude constantly and it's at the core of a lot of what we build for clients. But Perplexity is purpose-built for real-time cited research and does that job better than Claude's general-purpose search. Claude can't pull in a podcast or YouTube URL natively, and doesn't produce finished visual materials. These tools do things Claude simply wasn't designed to prioritise.

Right tool, right job. That's always the question worth asking.

Happy to answer questions in the comments.

One of the most common things we hear in early conversations with business owners:

"We got the tool. Set it up. But nothing's really changed."

Nine times out of ten, the tool isn't the problem. The process underneath it is.

AI amplifies what you're already doing. Great process plus AI means faster and better. Broken process plus AI means faster mess.

Think of it like handing someone a stadium-sized amplifier after they've learned three chords. They're not going to sound better. They're just going to be louder.

Before we recommend anything to a client, we ask one simple question - if we made this ten times faster, is that actually a good outcome? If the answer's no, we fix the foundation first. Always.

The businesses quietly saving many hours a month with AI aren't using anything exotic. They just did the unsexy work first - mapped their processes, cut the waste, then layered AI on top.

That's where the real results come from.

Thinking about where AI fits in your business? Send us a message - we'll give you an honest answer, not a sales pitch.

If your firm has two legal assistants, you're likely spending $84,102 a year on admin that AI can handle automatically.

One of our clients is already saving $852,000 a year.

Here's what that looks like in practice.

A Sunshine Coast law firm used to spend 45 minutes typing up every consultation letter and file note. Now AI generates both documents in 12 minutes. In the firm's voice. Ready for review.

20+ hours a month back. Admin staff moving into billable roles.

On Thursday 16 April at 11am AEST, I'm running a 45-minute masterclass for law firm principals and practice managers showing exactly how this works and what it costs to set up.

You'll walk away with:
→ Your firm's personalised admin cost breakdown
→ A 90-day AI implementation roadmap
→ A private 30-min strategy call with me
→ Full recording to share with your partners
→ Bring a colleague for free

If you can't action 3 things the following Monday morning, full refund. No questions asked.

12 seats only. $197 inc. GST.

Most legal assistants are highly capable professionals spending the majority of their day on tasks that no longer require human intelligence.

File notes. Formatting letters. Document filing. Data entry. Calendar management.

None of it generates fees - and none of it reflects the potential your team actually has.

One firm we worked with on the Sunshine Coast reduced consultation letter time from 45 minutes down to 12. That's over $21,000 a month in productivity returned to the business.

But here's what excites us more than the cost savings:

When legal assistants are freed from repetitive admin, they can be trained to take on higher-value work - client relationship management, matter coordination, billing support. They stop being a cost centre and start contributing directly to revenue.

That's exactly what our Blue Seas AI Training and Workshops are designed to do.

We upskill your team to work alongside AI - not be replaced by it - so your firm gets more output, your assistants get more meaningful work, and your practice grows.

If you're a practice manager or managing partner at a law firm, we've built a simple calculator that shows what repetitive admin is currently costing your firm.

It takes about 5 seconds:

The numbers might surprise you - and so might what's possible on the other side of them.

45-minute masterclass for practice managers. Learn how AI can restructure your team so everyone generates fees. Thursday 16 April, 11am AEST. Only 12 seats.

Imagine slashing $50,000 in monthly productivity costs just by changing how you handle your inbox.

This Sunshine Coast family law firm with Blue Seas AI found a game-changing solution to the endless email bottleneck. By implementing a custom AI system, they’ve completely automated the tedious task of sorting and renaming thousands of incoming emails. Instead of wasting billable hours manually filing documents, the system reads every incoming message, identifies the specific case, and instantly routes it to the correct file in their CRM. It’s a masterclass in using automation to reclaim time and focus on what actually matters: winning cases.

The energy at the recent Mooloolaba Chamber of Commerce breakfast was incredible, and it was a privilege to attend as a BDM focused on leveraging AI to amplify business fundamentals like revenue growth and productivity. With over 90 local leaders in the room, the message was clear: we are "stronger together" as we look toward 2032.

It was a fantastic morning held at The Savvy Squire Mooloolaba. The Wharf Mooloolaba is truly an ideal place for business meetings - between the scenic views of the yachts and the great food, it’s the perfect backdrop for professional connection.
I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to such a successful event:

President Brett Thompson (Landmark Resort & Spa): Thank you for your continued stewardship of the Chamber and for leading us through this exciting period of growth.

Min Swan and the White House International team: As the MC and event manager, your professionalism was on full display - starting at 4:00 AM to host 90+ people is no small feat!

Lizzie Henebery from Sunny Advertising: Your presentation on the "Meet Me in Mooloolaba" campaign was brilliant. It’s a groundbreaking initiative to keep our precinct vibrant and visible during the foreshore construction.

Michael Hurley of Aria Property Group: Thank you for your professional presentation on your vision for the region. It is exciting to see how Aria is collaborating with the Mooloolaba Esplanade Foreshore Development to ensure a world-class future for our beachfront.

Sunshine Coast Council: A special thank you to Tim McGee, Mandy Day for your continued and vital support of business on the coast.

Councillor Joe Natoli: Thank you for joining us and for your ongoing dedication to our division.

It was also wonderful that the past president Graham Juniper attended and the team at Beach Property Group AU. Seeing businesses engaged really highlights the strength of our local network.

Mooloolaba is on the up, and the collaboration between our business community and the council is truly "game-changing." If you haven't accessed your business toolkit yet, now is the time to get involved and leverage this momentum!
