Zephyr fans are classified as HVLS (High Volume Low Speed). Your average ceiling fan operates at a speed of about 50 to 200 RPM. Due to their large size, Zephyr fans only operate at 20 to 100 RPM depending on the model.

They achieve the same cooling effect for a larger volume of air at a much lower speed - contributing to their whisper-quiet performance, and an impressive drop in temperature of 5-8 degrees in humid conditions. ❄️
