🙌🏻 So this weekend has been very productive!

🫱🏾‍🫲🏼 First, I attended the B.STRONG & FEARLESS - Powered by Demi International event, and was lucky enough to win one of the two raffle prizes (the book one, no less!! 😍)

🧵I spent the rest of my weekend serging, washing and ironing some fabrics I brought back from Italy.
They are now crisp and ready for my next sewing projects… I just have to decide what garments they will become! 😂 ..next weekend’s problem!

💪 To achieve success in your organisation, you need to be on the same page as your end-users. Ideally, you want everyone to be working with the tools you provide for them. After all, you selected these tools for a reason, right?

🧘 Learning to allow and embrace our negative emotions (without getting lost in them) is one of the key elements for accepting change.

🥺 When we change our systems and processes, even if we change them for the better, we grieve a little bit inside for the old system.
😤 We might have to let go of some steps that were familiar to us, and learn new ones that are unfamiliar. They are foreign and we feel awkward at having to learn them. Who wants to be a novice again!

🫡 Learning to allow these negative feelings, instead of “putting on a brave face” is one of the key elements of a successful Digital transformation.

🤝 This is only possible with a leadership team skilled at emotional intelligence: for example encouraging their teams to have an open and honest conversation, instead of labelling staff as Negative Nellies!

📅 Yesterday I was talking with a client, whose company is facing a massive amount of change in a short timespan.

🫣To say that the prospect of what’s ahead felt daunting to them, was an understatement.

💪🏻 However, I have personally seen them overcome the very same challenge in the past, and we’ve learnt from it invaluable lessons which will come in handy this time around.

📈 Onwards and upwards we go, and when we doubt ourselves, we only need to look back to what we’ve already accomplished.
