Last Thursday, Cronin Miller Litigation was proud to join Motherhood Village in celebrating the official opening of its new home at Varsity Lakes.
As a Gold Coast law firm and business leaders in the community, we believe strongly in supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference in our community, and Motherhood Village is exactly that.
Derek and Stacy attended the celebration, with Stacy in her capacity as Board Chair of Motherhood Village. We are particularly proud that Stacy has taken on this role and that Cronin Miller Litigation can support her, the Board, the Peer Leaders and volunteers in the important work they are doing to ensure mothers and families across the Gold Coast have access to connection, support and a safe place to ask for help.
The importance of this work has shockingly come into high visibility in recent months with the tragic events in South Australia leading to the death of a 36 year old mum and her two children, and the Lindsay Clancy trial overseas highlighting the devastating consequences that can occur when severe postpartum mental health challenges go unrecognised or unsupported. While those cases represent the most extreme circumstances, they remind us why early connection, accessible support and removing the stigma around maternal mental health matter so much.
Congratulations to Tracey Tyley, CEO and Founder, the Motherhood Village Board, Peer Leaders, volunteers and everyone who has contributed to bringing this new space to life.
So great to see so many of the CML network at the event as well, beautifully captured by the amazing celeste.riane.photography and novasoma photography, reflecting what an amazing connected community we have here on the Gold Coast
