Last white for with the Sauvignon Blanc for the Modewarre Fumé Blanc off the vines and into the winery this morning. Small crops this year across the board but excellent flavours all round.

Thrilled to be included in the Top 100 Wineries again this year. An incredible group of producers from around the country and so glad to be included again.

‘The Mulline story is paved with gold. No, the Bens, Mullen and Hine are not independently wealthy, instead pouring everything into their six-year-old operation, which is based in Sutherlands Creek but sources from across the region. The 2026 Companion recorded no less than 19 golds for the Bens. Quality and consistency. That’s not easy to achieve, especially given the youth of the label. Chardonnay and pinot noir may be the bedrock, but the fumé blanc and syrah bottlings are their equal, wines of extraordinary depth and detail. Mulline may only be six years old, but it is a firmly established superstar.’

Exciting news this morning with our 2024 Pinot Gris being included in the Top 100 wines for 2025.
Included in the White wines under $40 category, Philip Rich writes ‘100% pinot gris from Modewarre on the Surf Coast in Geelong. A bright salmon copper. The nose features an attractive amalgam of cranberries, freshly cut pear, Mediterranean herbs and a little honeydew melon. Just as good on the mouth-filling, savoury, pithy and long palate. Top stuff.

We are on the last bottles of this release before the 2025 is sent out into the world, so jump online and grab a few bottles before they are gone!
