FLASHBACK |~ Niko Niko Swan Hill Before + After

Let’s be honest, in the past I’ve rarely shared or documented my design projects or behind the scenes…
but that’s about to change.

As the studio nears completion and things begin to ramp up, it’s time for me to come out of hiding.

I’m proud of the Niko Niko Swan Hill project and it was a pleasure working with owners Patricia & Min.

This was a full-scope design project from concept through to completion, including full project management.
Every element carefully considered.
Every decision made with intention.

From the layout and flow…
to materials, lighting, cladding, furniture, and the overall atmosphere.
The focus was always on creating an experience, not just a space.

Seeing the potential in a space…
and bringing it to life in a way that people can truly feel when they walk in.

While I’m currently limited in taking on full-scope projects,
I’m still working closely with clients through my Design on Demand sessions, one, two or three hours, offering guidance, direction and clarity when it’s needed most.

WHO WE ARE |~ I’ve always believed a home should change the way you feel- not just how it looks, but how you move, breathe and slow down within it.

That quiet sense of calm that settles over you when everything feels in harmony- that’s what I want people to experience.

My background in nursing taught me how deeply our surroundings influence our wellbeing.
Sage grew from that understanding, that home isn’t just where you live, it’s where you come back to yourself.

That’s what retreat-inspired design means to me.

THE NAME CHANGE }}
For years, my business was known as Sheikah Co.
A name inspired by the word chic (for beauty), and that soft “ahhh” feeling you get when you step into a space that just feels good.
It captured what I loved: calm, style, intention.

But over time, it became clear…
Most people couldn’t pronounce it, and even fewer could spell it.
And honestly, it started to feel like a name I had outgrown.

So, I paused and reflected.
Not just to rebrand, but to realign.
With the kind of service, products, and message I truly wanted to share with this community.

That’s when Sage was born.
A word that feels Calm. Wise. Grounded.
A reminder that design isn’t just about how things look, it’s about how they feel.

Design Collective was the perfect match.
Because this brand isn’t just design, it’s a collaboration.
A community.
A space for everything retreat-inspired design, lifestyle, and living with intention.

This new name feels like coming home.
To clarity. To calm. To purpose.

Meet Sage Design Collective 💫
I was planning a big fancy logo reveal… but here she is.

Design life behind the scenes this year has been epic to say the least.
So many amazing projects to share with you all.

A new look, a new website, a new design studio & retail space and so many exciting design projects to share!
