On Wednesday, 29 July, Swan Hill Hire was proud to support the Blue Tree Project in Piangil, organised by the Piangil Memorial Park & Recreation Committee
When funding for the project fell through, the group remained determined to bring it to life. Volunteers painted as high as they could safely reach, but completing the upper sections required specialised equipment.
Swan Hill Hire donated the use of our 45ft knuckle boom, with our Operations Coordinator and former Piangil boy, Dale Jager, completing the remaining painting safely.
The Blue Tree Project uses blue-painted trees as visible symbols of hope and conversation starters, encouraging people to speak openly about mental health and check in with those around them.
We’re pleased to have contributed our equipment, time and skills to a project that raises awareness of mental health, anxiety, depression and su***de within our community.
Community groups often have the passion and commitment to make a difference but may not have access to the equipment or resources needed to complete projects like this safely. Being able to step in and help is one practical way Swan Hill Hire can give back to the communities we serve.
