Mould & moisture assessment 🔍
This property was suffering from a number of issues which included mould development, water ingress, and rising damp. The residential property is due to undertake large scale renovations and the client commissioned Mould ID to carry out an investigation due to the number of trades which will be operating in the area.

A number recommendations were made to make the area safe, including minor remediation to remaining permanent structures/fixtures 🧱🔬

Mould & moisture investigation 🔬
This little job took place on the central coast at a tourist favourite caravan park. This was one of the cabins examined, showing clear signs of water ingress into the building envelope. Surfaces have been swollen, as well as the ceiling exhibiting signs of sagging and rippling. Mould development is quite pronounced, with water streaking lines evident running down interior wall linings 🔍

Mould development was obvious around the interior of the cabins, with growth noted around and inside the mounted air-conditioning units. A remediation strategy has been recommended due to the type and quantity of the mould found and also due to the integrity and condition of interior building features.

The consultant has formed the opinion that water ingress has occurred through the exterior roofing and into the building envelope. The windows also displayed a poor integrity of dealing with water streaking obvious from the interior window frames running down the interior wall linings.

What our expert consultants found in a recent investigation on the ground floor of a hotel. These rooms had heavy visual & airborne mould contamination 🔬 We have prepared a remediation strategy/recommendations to get the place looking spotless ✅️

An interesting thing to note is the complexity of this job. The likes of the air conditioning system, vacuuming, and service lifts all played a role in air movement pathways. Meaning that mould contamination was transported to “clean” areas of the building, which will now require remediation also.
