First rest break of my day,

My job has quite a bit of waiting time, delays. So in that time I try to have breakfast/lunch, and rest if I need to, so that in my rest break I can focus on reading, content creation, documenting, self development etc.

We all can acquire time in portions, 5 mins here, 10 mins there. Try and put that time to good use that will benefit you.

In the end, it’s your break, your time, do with it what you will 😂.

Have a great day peeps!!

G'day,

Many of us live day after day, living the same day over, and over again, with minimal daily progression.

Get up
Go to work
Come back from work
Shower
Eat
Tv
Sleep.

The motivation for work starts to die down.

What if you had something to look forward to doing after every ending shift? Doing something that excites you, something like going out, taking your kids somewhere fun, or building a project in the garage, or taking a course in the evenings that you like? Doing your workout, reaching your fitness goals? There are endless examples.

How motivated will you be to go to work, do your job and come back to do the thing you love? How much of a happier, positive approach to your day ahead will you take?

When you approach every day with a positive mindset, is when you live a happier life, It won't only impact you, but also your work colleges and your family at home.

Be positive
Be happier
Make someone else happy
And people will love you for it.

Nothing good will happen starting your day with negativity.

Think of it as a chain reaction, you do or hear something positive, It will encourage you to do another, and another, and another.

If you start your day, cussing, swearing, complaining, It's an endless negative direction throughout your day.

Make the most out of life :)

Be safe out there

G’day,

Here’s a great read for ya, I read it and loved it!

The old saying is wrong—winners do quit, and quitters do win. Every new project (or job, or hobby, or company) starts out exciting and fun.

Then it gets harder and less fun, until it hits a low point—really hard, and not much fun at all. And then you find yourself asking if the goal is even worth the hassle.

Maybe you're in a Dip—a temporary setback that will get better if you keep pushing. But maybe it's really a Cul-de-Sac, which will never get better, no matter how hard you try.

According to bestselling author Seth Godin, what really sets superstars apart from everyone else is the ability to escape dead ends quickly, while staying focused and motivated when it really counts.

Winners quit fast, quit often, and quit without guilt—until they commit to beating the right Dip for the right reasons. In fact, winners seek out the Dip. They realize that the bigger the barrier, the bigger the reward for getting past it. If you can become number one in your niche, you'll get more than your fair share of profits, glory, and long-term security.

Losers, on the other hand, fall into two basic traps. Either they fail to stick out the Dip—they get to the moment of truth and then give up—or they never even find the right Dip to conquer. Whether you're a graphic designer, a sales rep, an athlete, or an aspiring CEO, this fun little book will help you figure out if you're in a Dip that's worthy of your time, effort, and talents. If you are, The Dip will inspire you to hang tough. If not, it will help you find the courage to quit—so you can be number one at something else.

Seth Godin doesn't claim to have all the answers. But he will teach you how to ask the right questions.

Been a fan of Seth Godin for quite a few years now, and has written 18 best selling books and translated into 35 different languages.

Seth writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and most of all, changing everything

Enjoy 😉

G’day 👋

All Aussies are waiting for things to get back to normal Post COVID-19.

Easing back into life after lockdown:

Take it slowly – Simple things like doing the grocery shopping, driving a car or spending time with friends might feel strange as you move back into your post-lockdown life. Take note of how you feel and consider speaking to your GP if feelings of anxiety persist or worsen.

Rebuild your relationships – It’s been a while since you’ve physically seen your friends and family members – and remember, they’ve changed as much as you have. Spend some time together processing the experience, rebuilding bonds and supporting one another as you move into the next phase of your relationship. Look for opportunities: The Federal Government is offering heavily subsidised undergraduate and postgraduate certificate courses for people who have been financially displaced by COVID-19. If you’re looking to enhance your current skillset or to retrain in a new field, a new qualification could help you move forward.

Seek help early – Everyone reacts differently to change. Feelings of anxiety, difficult sleeping, changes to your appetite, irritability and bouts of crying are all signs you may need some extra support. Speak to your GP or visit the Black Dog Institute website for mental health advice and resources.

Reflect on your experience – Rather than focusing on going ‘back’ to your old life, take some time to think about whether the lockdown experience could help you make positive changes going forward. Have you realised you want to work less, exercise more, make more effort to spend time with friends and family? Make a list of new habits you’d like to embrace and start implementing them one by one.

Remember the advice – Wash your hands regularly, keep a safe distance from others and keep up with the rules as they change so you know what you can and cannot do. Remember these rules have been very effective at keeping the infection rate low in Australia.

Professor Vijaya Manicavasagar is a senior clinical psychologist at the Black Dog Institute and the author of Separation Anxiety Disorder in Adults.
