THE COMICS ARE REVOLTING

Warning: this Fringe show will blow your mind and political persuasions, social system and sexual orientation... As you learn about our infamous actions, which made national/international headlines including the infamous glitter bomb incident where Jo Ranck thought she was glitter bombing bigots only to find out that she glitter bombed a journalist!

Yes, becoming an activist entails many things including: picketing bigots, and/or dealing with corporate spies, acquiring a police guard, joining ASIOs watch list, dressing up as a pirate or a drag communist, YELLING, blocking access to a coal-mine, and/or helping to shut down George St. during a University protest, and/or stopping potential riots and/or starting a potential riot. And this is only a snip it of what goes on.

So catch this revolting show and laugh your corporate slave ass off while you get to taste all steaming hot juicy action, and Abbott’s stinky fruity policies.

Also, we will be raising money on the night for an environmental group protecting our threatened forests.

Eviction at millers point
today 16th of September

Homeless people were evicted from their homes at millers point today by police, The Millers point public housing is currently being sold off to property developers. In a bid to slow the sale of this property the local community encouraged homeless people to move into the empty houses in order to resist the selling off of public assets and the displacements of the community.

These homeless people had been living in the Argyle Place property for the past 2 months and co-inhabiting with the neighbourhood peacefully along side the locals, that was till 9:11am this morning when police abruptly stormed the property to evict the "squatters" from the place they had come to call their home

One evicted person said "why should already rich peoples desire for more money be more important than a homeless persons need for shelter?"

"why should a casino be built while retired people are suffering?" Another said

Millers Point community spokesman Barney Gardner said "the squatters evicted on Tuesday had not caused a nuisance, and should have been allowed to stay until the property was ready for sale."

Heaps of properties at Millers Point are in wait for the state government to embark on a two-year program to evict public housing tenants and sell hundreds of homes. The first four sales well exceeded a netted $11.1 million for the government

The suburb of millers point is home to a historical dock workers community whom did much to build Australia’s economy. A lot of millers point residents are in their retirement and feel utterly betrayed by the government for siding with property developers to kick them out of their homes, some members have lived in the houses for over fifty years.

Today is another example of how wealth is more important than people’s need for shelter.
