I help female entrepreneurs become confident, inspiring leaders even if they don't have a lot of leadership experience - so that they can stop drowning in self help books and podcast and focus on growing their business.

This sparked incredible discussions with you when I posted it to stories so thought I'd leave here as well.

Leadership presence has evolved in a somewhat expected way, as we start to emulate our own values as leaders and shake off the leadership styles of who we had coming up through the ranks.

I'd love to know your thoughts - does any of this surprise you?

It's a no from me.

It’s me!

Take ownership of yourself today.
🌪️ How you feel? You decide.
🧐What you focus on? You decide.
🤠What gets a reaction out of you? You decide.

Taking ownership of yourself is one of the most important and valuable steps that you can take as a leader (and an adult really).

ATTN: Ambitious leaders - don’t fall into this trap.

You’re talented, smart, ambitious - BUT when you’re not vibing with your role it’s easy to take a step back and put yourself on cruise control.

Sure, doing the bare minimum sounds fun for a while, but you know yourself. Are you really going to be doing the work that makes you proud? Achieving what you know you can achieve? Growing in the way that you want to grow?

Of course not.

If you’re unhappy - don’t step into the shadows, step into the light - figure out what’s going on that isn’t giving you what you need from your role and create an action plan to tackle it. Whether that’s having a frank conversation with your manager, maybe it’s time to brush up your CV and start looking for something else?

Doing the bare minimum OR doing too much and burning out - they aren’t your only options.

“We’re just like a family here” - sound familiar? 🤢

Let’s create cultures for our teams that
👑 Inspire creativity and innovation by creating safe, reasonable expectations for our people.
🚀Set the tone for growth by ensuring focus is on the work and collaboration - not on weird dynamics and lack of personal boundaries.
🥸 Let’s people actually have a weekend, log off at the end of the day and week and restore themselves - have a life away from us.

Now, let's unpack that.
Aristotle explains that it's all about the daily grind, not just one-off feats of greatness.
Training x habits = excellence.

When was the last time you took a step back to review your daily habits? 🤔 Do they reflect a leader who is committed to their own growth?

Remember, bb consistency is key! Small changes make big waves 🌊

Sick of drowning in tasks?

Meet Emily, a leader I've been working with 1:1 for three months. She was overwhelmed with work and feeling panicked about her responsibilities and felt like nothing was being done properly.

When we talked through her workflow it was clear why. She was trying to do EVERYTHING.

Noble? Sure.
Effective? Nope (and she won't mind me saying that 😶)

We did three key things:
🔑 Changed how she valued her time. She's a leader now, that means her time is valued differently vs. her last role.
🔑 Reviewed all her work and found just the high value work that deserves her time.
🔑 Reworked her days so she focused just on that work.

The results were/are ❤️‍🔥🥳👑 but I'll let her tell you: "OK so first I love you, then secondly this week I've been able to breathe. I stayed to my plan and prioritised the right work and delegated or deleted or delayed the rest. I'm a new person. My manager actually called me on Friday morning to check in because she'd seen such a big change in my demeanour (not stressed ha) and even in this short time I've seen my team benefit from the change in how I'm managing myself."

Amazing right??!!

Guess what, all the steps we took are covered in Time Trainer - watch this free workshop and score the workbook too, hit the link in my bio now to get instant access 😀

Haaaiii leader >> check out these questions that I want you to reflect on in the lead up to the long weekend:

🤔 Do you and the team have clear expectations around working/not working over weekends and holidays?

🤔 What could you talk about this week to ensure everyone feels comfortable to actually check out of work on Thursday afternoon?

🤔 Are there any high risk projects or deadlines that may impact your people's ability to rest this weekend? How can you handle them e.g. reprioritise, bring in more resources, manage expectations better.
