Outtakes from our last Dream Collective πŸ’›

It's rainy, dreary weather on Gadigal land today. It's also Sorry Day, where we pause to mourn and acknowledge the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who were forcibly removed from their families, a group collectively known as the Stolen Generations. Today, May 26, is a day of remembrance and healing.

The Dream Collective, as a committed gathering of First Nations and culturally diverse women in media and the arts, offers our unwavering respect, solidarity and love to Indigenous people, today and every day.

See you all for our next in-person session on Thursday, 18 June (invite link forthcoming).

Last night's April meet-up was much-needed!

We covered topics like working in male-dominated spaces, finding joy in resistance, pathways to work in the creative sector, and the importance of mentorship in our communities. Also in the mix was light-hearted chatter about dating app experiences, long-distance relationship dilemmas, and much more 😊

Thank you to our gracious hosts and for supporting this important safe space initiative.

Next month's session will be online for our national attendees; date and time coming soon.

Naarm, you didn't disappoint!

Our first Dream Collective in Melbourne was a powerful evening of laughs and tears, shared in a safe space thanks to the generous team at Hardie Grant Publishing.

It was wonderful connecting with so many new faces, and we promise we will come back sooner than later.

To the First Nations and culturally diverse women working in media, the arts and entertainment who attended last night: we see you, we thank you, and we believe in you πŸ’›
