Jack of all trades or master of one?? Let’s talk about it ⤵️

I used to swear by the idea of being a jack of all trades - until it almost ruined my entire business. Trying to do it all, never saying no, and never being honest about how much was too much led to extreme burnout, unhappy clients, and unhappy Claire 🤷‍♀️ so now, I stick to what I know and I’m not afraid to ask for help when I need it (hello to my ops partner + content creator on my team 👋🏻)

At 17 I started as a receptionist/assistant at a legal firm (hello, Suits??) and LOVED IT. Thankfully, I’ve traded in paper files for digital, in-person meetings for Zoom calls, and heels for sneakers, but all that high-level admin support knowledge? Gets poured right back into client work

Let’s break it down ⤵️

As soon as you apply, you’ll get a little email confirming I’ve received your application and either ask for more info, schedule a no-pressure chat, or DM convo - totally up to what works with you and your schedule/availability

Next, we go through the details: are you looking for full-service support in all 3 areas? Or just in 1 or 2? What are your hopes with bringing on a new team member? What does your dream business look like?? I want to get to know you and your business and get REAL about how we can partner together

Once you decide you’d like to move forward, you pick the option that works for you and your budget and we get started 🤩 

This is where the fun begins 🚀

We schedule a 90-min strategy session and I start logging into anything and everything

While you’re making dinner with family, going to the gym, or closing your laptop for the night, I’m sending you one last ‘so happy we get to work together!’ message as I start conducting a full business overview so I can really understand the gaps and where you need the most support (because of the time difference I get to work while you sleep) 😉

Do you ever feel like you're speaking into void with your team? Like you keep missing each other or lines keep getting crossed?

Successful teams are BUILT on successful, transparent communication (especially in the digital space)

As a team, you must be able to collaborate, share information, and coordinate efforts in order to provide the best possible service to your clients

➡️ Establish clear and consistent channels of communication:
Whether you're using email, Slack, or another messaging app, make sure that everyone on your team knows how to use it and understands what types of messages should be sent through each channel

➡️ Set expectations around response times:
When you receive a message from a team member, aim to respond within a reasonable amount of time. If you're unable to respond right away, be sure to communicate that so they know when they can expect to hear back from you

➡️ Maintain a positive and respectful tone in all team communications:
Remember that everyone on your team has different communication styles and preferences, so be open to feedback and be willing to adapt your communication style to best fit the needs of your team (you can't read tone through messages, so make sure there's no room for ambiguity)

➡️ Schedule regular check-ins and meetings:
They can be helpful in maintaining strong team communication. By setting aside dedicated time to discuss goals, progress, and challenges, you can ensure that everyone on your team is on the same page and working towards the same objectives.

You're going to fail, it's inevitable ⤵️

On a small scale you're going to send the wrong link in an email, forget to remove the [name] field, post the wrong graphic on the wrong day, etc.

On a large scale you're going to make a bad investment, sign a red flag client, not be able to go live on the single largest premier that nobody even asked for (looking at you, Netflix)

➡️ but the good news is, while sometimes you don't get to choose your failures, you do get to choose how you react to them. In the wise words of Phil Knight: "But my hope was that when I failed, I'd fail quickly, so I'd have enough time, enough years, to implement all the hard-won lessons. I wasn't much for setting goals, but this goal kept flashing through my mind every day, until it became my internal chant: Fail fast."

You're going to fail - and it's okay!! But, I encourage you to fail fast: learn from it, reflect on it, and move on from it. I guarantee, your failure will breed imminent success 🔥

📞 COMMUNICATE

While we help coaches in every area of their business, every phase, across multiple industries...the one action that sets apart our highest performers: they communicate, and they communicate often

They let us know everything: what they're focusing on for the week, what they accomplished for the day and what else needs to be completed (because we're partially located in Sydney, AUS - we work while you sleep), what their calendar looks like coming up, what their hopes and dreams are for their business

They communicate with us about the most surface-level things and the most important things - why?

Because in order to successfully delegate and run a seamless operational backend - we need to know these things!! Out for a family emergency? Need to spend more time not working? Have a launch you want planned? Have a new idea you want integrated? Annoying thing that you need to vent about? (this is my favorite 🤭) We want to know everything because we need to! It makes our jobs 100% easier when you're open and communicative with your team and it's also because we care about you and your business that we actually want to know these things!

The newest thing in tech is definitely having a moment right now, everything seems to be “the next best thing” but after 5+ years in the online space, here are our tried & true tech we’re loving for our clients:

1️⃣ CLICKUP

Having a project management software as robust, intuitive, and integrative as ClickUp is a massive time and lifesaver for our busy clients. We organize and manage all the ClickUp spaces for our clients via their own workspaces for ease of use and navigation, because while we always recommend ClickUp, we also understand that you’ll only use it if it works for you, so each client has a customized build that works for them 
 
2️⃣ NOTION

Added to our tech stack last year but rapidly growing to be a favorite, we use Notion to organize the big picture details for each client contract (ongoing or project-based). It’s a one-stop for all client information to ensure we are all on the same page, working toward a common goal

3️⃣ ZAPIER 

The piece of the automation puzzle we must have and use for all clients! Zapier and it’s integrations have saved our clients 20+ hours PER WEEK in automations, pulling them out of the backend and placing them back into business

4️⃣ AI 

Yep, we’ve joined the AI craze, and we love it. Using it for ad images (they are performing so well!), program title ideas, copy refresh, keyword research, recipe creation…instead of being scared of the unknown, we’re using it to leverage our services

5️⃣ SLACK 

Did you know you can send voice memos on SLACK?! Absolute game changer for us, especially because you can search messages, reply in threads, and pin messages for safe keeping. We love Voxer for strategy and voice memos, but Slack is where it's at for everything else
