Here are four types of digital products you can create and sell:

What are the most important values for you and your business?

Mine are:
- Respect
- Kindness and
- Honesty.

Why do they matter?

You can't pretend respect if you're not offering it, and it's a valid point in life as it is in business.

Kindness, because in this upside-down world, treating your tribe kind will make them like you better.

And honesty will bring respect, loyalty and trust, which are the strongest pillars for gaining new customers and winning them for life.

The big P word... Procrastination.

It’s one of the biggest obstacles to creating success and yet we all seem to wallow in it at some point in our journey.

I see it so much in entrepreneurs and particularly so in my clients that are ex-corporate / new B2B or B2C Consultants.

As someone who fits that category, I used to find that working from my home office when I first started consulting, I would be constantly in stage 3.

The washing, the kitchen, chauffeuring my three children, everyone else’s priorities. It was a novelty to be home all day and I couldn’t separate the blurred boundaries of work and home.

Until I read more and more into why as humans we procrastinate.

I realised that procrastination often comes from a fear.

The fear of being judged, rejected, being visible, failure, not knowing enough, needing to be perfect, being compared.

I realised that I was fearful of not being enough, not being perfect and then being compared which was bonkers because I knew my stuff inside and out. I had managed huge budgets throughout my career, but the fear of going solo in a different country was causing me to procrastinate on a massive scale.

I worked hard on this and decided that progress each day would be my focus.

Now don’t get me wrong, I still do procrastinate, however I’m able to quickly see it for what it is, time block my personal To Do list into non-working time and continue to create my magic.

Next time you’re procrastinating think about what it is you’re avoiding and why.

Why are you taking that extra course (procrasti-learning), avoiding posting on social media, cleaning the kitchen, reading a book that won’t take you to the next step of results, spending time avoiding implementing and actioning?

What fear are you allowing to stop you making progress?

I’d love to know how this affects you too.

Today is the International Day of Happiness. Don't repel the good, especially when it comes from a loving heart and give back whenever you can. And never forget, happiness is a human right. With our world facing unprecedented challenges, wellbeing matters more than ever.

"But, I don't have time..."

It's so easy to convince ourselves that 'we don't have enough time'. But, we do.

We make time for what we commit to.

We waste time when we're confused, scared or otherwise unsure about what to do next.

I can 'waste' time like nobody's business when something gets tough in my business. HGTV and watching Netflix are my two favourite ' time sucks. Surfing the net ranks up there, too.

When I find myself watching an episode of Good Girls (an episode I've seen at least 3 times, btw) I know I'm avoiding something. Maybe it's a hard conversation or a task that I just don't know how to do.

Solution? Turn the TV off. Tell the dogs they don't need a 5th walk today. Whatever your go-to time suck is... recognise it for what it is. Stop doing it and go tackle the 'hard thing'.

What's your favourite time suck (that you don't want to admit to. You can tell me :)

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO BEGIN🌷

At age 23, Tina Fey was working at a YMCA.

At age 23, Oprah was fired from her first reporting job.

At age 24, Stephen King was working as a janitor and living in a trailer.

At age 27, Vincent Van Gogh failed as a missionary and decided to go to art school.

At age 28, J.K. Rowling was a suicidal single parent living on welfare.

At age 28, Wayne Coyne (from The Flaming Lips) was a fry cook.

At age 30, Harrison Ford was a carpenter.

At age 30, Martha Stewart was a stockbroker.

At age 37, Ang Lee was a stay-at-home-dad working odd jobs.

Julia Child released her first cookbook at age 39, and got her own cooking show at age 51.

Vera Wang failed to make the Olympic figure skating team, didn’t get the Editor-in-Chief position at Vogue, and designed her first dress at age 40.

Stan Lee didn’t release his first big comic book until he was 40.

Alan Rickman gave up his graphic design career to pursue acting at age 42.

Samuel L. Jackson didn’t get his first movie role until he was 46.

Morgan Freeman landed his first MAJOR movie role at age 52.

Kathryn Bigelow only reached international success when she made The Hurt Locker at age 57.

Grandma Moses didn’t begin her painting career until age 76.

Louise Bourgeois didn’t become a famous artist until she was 78.

Whatever your dream is, it is not too late to achieve it. You aren’t a failure because you haven’t found fame and fortune by the age of 21.

Hell, it’s okay if you don’t even know what your dream is yet. Even if you’re flipping burgers, waiting tables or answering phones today, you never know where you’ll end up tomorrow.

Never tell yourself you’re too old to make it.

Never tell yourself you missed your chance.

Never tell yourself that you aren’t good enough.

You can do it. Whatever it is.

When I get to meet people in the earlier stages of their business-building, "overwhelming" is a word that keeps coming up.

The problem is not as straightforward as overwhelm being a choice - which I've heard before - any more than grief or confusion or being allergic to nuts is a choice.

But it is rapidly controllable, and we can choose to exercise that control pretty rapidly.

The people who are competently responsible for lots of other people, or budgets, or moving parts, are frequently not overwhelmed, because they have plans and they have systems.

The systems tell them what needs to be done next.

Overwhelming is NOT a result of having too much to do. It's a result of not knowing what to do next.

This is why writing a weekly plan - that doesn't look more than seven days out - is so effective.

I prefer doing this on Sunday evening, so on Monday morning, I block time in my calendar to get things done during the week. I hope this will help you feel less overwhelmed and in control of your time.

And reach out if you want to find out how to implement systems from the early beginning in your digital business.

During a recent coaching session, I was asked this question: When was the one moment in your life when you felt most alive/most like the real you?
My answer was surprising even to me: I feel most alive when I'm dancing. And I haven't danced in a very long while.
What does this have to do with the business, you'll ask?
It's very simple: if it doesn't make you feel alive, don't do it. It will drain and suck the energy out of you, you'll feel like you've wasted your time doing things you don't like and you'll start to resent your business and even your life.
Like Simon Sinek said: Start with the WHY. And let the WHY drive you where you want to be.
