The "Pink Panther" (Jema CS-123A) arrived today. This is part of a range of pianos that are 100% exclusive to Jema Pianos.
We now have Teak, Mahogany, Pink and Black available to rent.

I routinely see families struggling to find affordable options for having a piano, (in fact, when my daughter was learning we struggled as well). Sometimes families find pianos that are free, or I have even seen people buy pianos for $1000-$10,000 that were un-tunable, and would need significant repairs or restorations.

At Jema Pianos, you can now rent a brand new piano, the rental fee includes tuning in your home. And after a year, if you decide to buy a piano through us, up to 12 months of the rent is 100% refunded off the price of a new piano.

This is just one way Jema Pianos is helping the community.

"Not all piano wheels are the same."

I thought this could be fun to share. When talking about pianos, noone ever talks about wheels. For most of the pianos life, the piano may stay in the same spot, the wheels are almost irrelevant. But when you need to move it inside your home, even if its just a few inches to the left or right, the wheels will play a crucial role in making that that easier for you.

Small upright pianos (the ones that lack the front legs), often come with terrible, tiny "wheels". These can only roll in one direction. That simple move to another spot of the room, is now extremely challenging, requiring multiple people to move, and in some cases, to avoid damaging your floor, may require hiring professional piano movers!

Most standard upright pianos both sound better, and come with reasonable sized castor wheels. This makes moving them around easier. In fact, on a tiled floor, or in piano showrooms, I can typically move pianos around on my own.

It's the smallest of things, but if choosing a piano for your family, going for a standard sized piano, it will not only sound better, but as it has standard sized wheels (castors), can be better for your family in the long run for more then one reason.

It always feels as if the piano calls you from across the room.
So I wanted to capture how pianos make you feel when you see them, and how it feels when you play them.
Maybe you have had a long day, but once you start to play its as if the room warms up, your stress goes away, its just you and the piano.

Whenever I walk into a room, I feel like the piano is calling to me. Pianos just always seem to have this natural way of pulling people towards them.
Even people who do not play, seem to be drawn to the piano.
So I spoke with a talented artist, (Emily Smith from Tasmania), about how I feel pianos just seem to call me, and draw people in and she came up with 2 extraordinary pieces of art.

Often when tuning, I have had dogs wanting to play on one side.

Cats sometimes dance around, maybe they are chasing flys, or other bugs, but I like to imagine they are catching notes while I tune.
