Tuff looking ford ranger we had in this week completing some much needed upgrades 💪
After carrying out a full major service we also fitted brand new Turbo back exhaust, snorkel, and some brand new wheel arches
After completing the upgrades we sent the ranger over to our friends at for a full custom diesel dyno tune and a brand evc throttle controller and all i can say is WOW what a difference

Unfortunately for our friends over at MT Scaffolding this absolute workhorse blew a turbo internally and externally causing some unfortunate damage.
After attending the breakdown and diagnosing the damage we got the truck towed back to the workshop and got straight down to business and started ripping in 👨‍🔧
Due to the impeller on the turbo failing metal spread through the compressor damaging the compressor itself along with the Air dryer and 4 way protection valve.
After the major repairs were complete we also carried out a major service and gave the truck a much needed valve adjustment 🔧
Within a few days we were fortunate to have the truck back on the road running better than ever 🤙

Hearing a nasty clunk in your front end ? 🤯

This WRX come in for a service and diagnose a major clunking noise on take off and gear change. After a thorough inspection we found broken control arm bushes on both sides aswell as a broken top dog bone bush 👨‍🔧

Within a few hours customer was back on the road with a nice smooth ride !

Big week at JLA Mechanical 🔧
Earlier this week we had a job that pushed me to my limits. This job wasn’t just a repair, it turned into a full on challenge with a lot of problem solving, fabrication, and long hours to get it right.
Truck came in with snapped radius rod hangers and a fully customised rocker box style suspension setup. Nothing lined up the way it should, so it meant a heap of fabrication work just to get everything sitting and working properly again.
After a lot of patience and persistence, we got it sorted. Work carried out included:
• Replaced snapped radius rod hangers
• Extensive fabrication to suit the custom rocker box suspension setup
• Replaced all rocker box bushes
• Replaced all radius rod bushes
• Completed a full B service
• Replaced clutch slave cylinder
• Full coolant flush
Definitely one of those jobs that tests you, but that’s what we’re here for taking on the tough ones and getting them done right 💪

Just got my official mock-up back for the new ANZAC themed JLA merch and I couldn’t be prouder of how they turned out. 💥💥

Unfortunately for this customer, what should have been a simple jump start call out turned into 4 brand new batteries + installation 😩
After a failed attempt to jumpstart this truck we tested all batteries and turns out and 3 out of 4 batteries were completely dead. 😵
So out with the old and in with the new 😍
