Aquaman followed closely behind in second with $6.4m, bringing its two week total to $26.9m and is raking in big numbers globally. Emily Blunt's Mary Poppins Returns opened in third place with $4.1m.

Benedict Cumberbatch’s Christmas animation, The Grinch has taken the top spot with $2.5m in its second week. It’s now made a total of $7.4m.

Bohemian Rhapsody keeps its place in the top three, holding second place with a further $1.8m. The music biopic has now reached $35.1m in six weeks. Creed II took third with $1.6m, for a two week total of $5.6m.
