On 22 August, Simon Holt and Duncan McComb were on hand to join Elouera Surf Life Saving Club for the launch of their new Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB), proudly donated by The Holt Estate.

The event also marked a special milestone — the 20th such IRB donation since The Holt Estate began donating IRBs to the Bate Bay surf clubs in 2005, supporting the vital work they do to keep Sutherland Shire beaches and community safe.

It was wonderful to celebrate this ongoing partnership and recognise the dedication of the volunteers who give so much to surf lifesaving, particularly Michael Byrne AM for his contributions to the IRB section at Elouera over many years and after whom the boat is named.

A few weeks ago we came together again with Our Big Kitchen (https://www.obk.org.au) for our second cook-up, preparing meals for those in need.

Such a simple way to give back; and always a rewarding one.

This week we joined Our Big Kitchen (https://www.obk.org.au/) in preparing meals for people experiencing a range of challenges including homelessness. It was both a humbling and heartwarming experience, reminding us of the power of kindness, teamwork, and compassion.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible and to the incredible volunteers and organisers who do this work year-round.
