Most businesses don't lose the deal because of their price. They lose it because of their pitch.
Last week, we wrapped up our 3 Pitch Pitfalls Roundtable at CUPRA City Garage Sydney / CUPRA Artarmon and the conversation was too good not to share. Here are the biggest insights from the room:
Your prospects are overwhelmed with options and information. Every bit of confusion costs you the deal. Empathy isn't just a value, it's a sales strategy.
Can you explain the problem you solve, your solution AND the outcome you deliver in under 20 seconds? If not, your pitch needs a little love. Brevity isn't about being short, it's about being clear.
If your pitch was passed from one person to the next, would the third person be able to deliver it back to you and sound just like you? If not, your message isn't landing the way you think it is.
The more you know, the harder it is to simplify. "Smarten it down." Every word needs to earn its place. Your audience doesn't need to know everything, they just need to know enough to say yes!
Know your prospect's language, their world and their values before you open your deck. Value match matters and sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is no.
Huge thanks to Nathan Williams - The Pitch Coach for leading such a brilliant discussion and to Paola Bamonte for pulling it all together and making it happen! ๐
