Hello Network Colleagues,

Every leader we meet has done a personality test. Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, maybe two others.

Most still can't describe how their team actually perceives them under pressure.

That's not a knowledge gap. It's a debrief gap.

Assessments are data. Without a structured conversation around strengths, limitations, blind spots, and perception gaps, that data stays trapped in a PDF no one opens again.

We pair every neuroleadership assessment with a dedicated coach debrief. Not a quick walkthrough. A real session that covers how you show up, where you overplay your strengths, and what your team, clients, partners and manager see that you don't.

Then we build a goal-driven action plan. We can include multiple 1:1 coaching sessions to ensure your action plan is successful.

If your organisation is investing in assessment tools, ask one question: what happens after the report lands?

That's where growth actually starts.

Hello Network Colleagues,

Most leaders walk into coaching with a list of goals. That's the first mistake.

Goals built on assumptions about your strengths lead to plans that reinforce blind spots.

Because self-awareness has to come before ambition.

How others perceive you at work is like the above the waterline view of the iceberg. Its the below the waterline view where real development lives.

Measure first. Then move. Swipe through to see why 👉

Hello Network Colleagues,

Most leaders chase high performance in bursts. A big push before the deadline. A sprint to close the quarter. Then collapse, recover, repeat.

That cycle feels productive. It isn't.

High performance is a compound return on small habits repeated longer than your competitors are willing to.

Not the leader who pulls an all-nighter before the board meeting. The one who prepares a little, every single week, so the board meeting is just another conversation.

We see this constantly in our work with leadership teams. They've built routines so deeply that consistency has compounded effort.

One habit repeated daily for a year beats twelve intense sprints every time.

The question worth sitting with: are you building a practice, or just surviving another push?

Hello network colleagues,

Most leaders get their 360° results, skim the scores, and file the report.

The debrief is where patterns become visible, where scores turn into something you can actually work with. That's where the real shift happens.

This carousel demonstrates the importance of the debrief. Within our 1:1 coaching and leadership program, we include a neuro-leadership assessment and 40 hours of leadership development materials.

Hi network colleagues!

I just stepped off stage at ProcureCon Australia, and it was such a great experience moderating once again at this fantastic conference.

I moderated 4 sessions with 4 very different conversations. Some unmistakable threads running through all of them! How Procurement can elevate its value proposition with the C-suite and create new business relevance within the organisation, how Procurement can lead and navigate the uncertainty to deliver improved supply chain resilience; and driving improved effectivity and efficiency utilising AI and robotics in its e2e processes.

Whilst cost reduction is prevalent during these uncertain times, we know Procurement is no longer just a cost-cutting function, it is a strategy enabler and an expert in its own domain.

I had the privilege of moderating these four sessions:

1) Inside the CPO Mind: How can you navigate shifting global forces, from Trump to tariffs, AI to supply chain shocks, to stay competitive in Australia’s evolving market?
Speaker: Samad Momin, Lucie Chami, Fajib Manoly, Anushri Vyas

2) Fireside Chat: Automation meets 3PL strategy – How can you leverage 3PLs, automation, and robotics to reshape and future-proof your supply chain against future disruptions?
Speaker: Aparna Tiwari

3) Insights from the C-Suite: Understanding procurement’s evolving role – How can procurement move beyond cost-saving to become a strategic enabler of innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth?
Speaker: Josie Pane

4) CPO Spotlight: How do you align executive perspectives to amplify procurement’s value and secure its future impact across the organisation?
Speaker: Tom Vicars, Kirsty Blokker, Damien Sheehy

Every panel discussion, every Q&A, every side conversation and supplier interaction was engaging, rewarding and informative.

The content was quality, the speakers were generous with their thinking and expertise, and the energy in the room told me this profession is at a genuine inflection point.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am grateful to the ProcureCon team for putting together a great 2 days and to every speaker and attendee who made those sessions so rich.

If you were there, I would love to hear which moments resonated the most with you. 👇

Hello network colleagues! As this financial year draws to a close… it’s time to invest in capability for the year ahead

Over the past financial year, I’ve had the privilege of delivering and facilitating hundreds of hours of professional development across diverse industries, organisations, and Procurement teams throughout Australia.

This has included:
✔️ Diplomas & Advanced Diplomas delivered across NSW & QLD
✔️ Procurement Leadership Coaching for emerging and established leaders
✔️ Masterclasses in:
• Negotiation
• Supplier Relationship Management
• Contract Management
• Risk Management
• Effective Communication Skills
✔️ Facilitating Roundtable Discussions across multiple industries and Procurement functions
✔️ Supporting professionals and organisations to strengthen capability, influence, performance, and leadership outcomes

The consistent focus has been simple:
Helping individuals and teams build the mindset, skillset, and strategic capability required to thrive in increasingly complex business environments.

“Rob is a preeminent figure in procurement and contracting across Australia and New Zealand.”
— Paul Vorbach

A sincere thank you to my key partners who continue to support and enable this work:
AcademyGlobal, CIPS, and CASME.

As organisations prepare budgets and capability priorities for the next financial year, now is the ideal time to consider:
➡️ Leadership development
➡️ Procurement capability uplift
➡️ Team training and facilitation
➡️ High-performance culture programs
➡️ Coaching and mentoring initiatives

The organisations that invest in capability today will be the ones best positioned to lead tomorrow.

A strategy document on its own does not deliver results. Documents provide direction, but it is people who ultimately bring strategy to life through their actions, decisions, and daily behaviours.

True organisational progress happens when strategy moves beyond presentations and planning sessions and becomes embedded in everyday habits, operational routines and decision-making frameworks. When teams understand not only what the strategy is, but also how it influences their priorities, responsibilities and choices, ex*****on becomes far more consistent and measurable.

This is where intention turns into impact. Strategy becomes visible in the way leaders guide their teams, how employees approach challenges and how organisations allocate time, resources and attention to the things that matter most. Alignment across people, processes and priorities transforms strategy from a static document into a living system that drives performance and long-term value.

Organisations that successfully bridge the gap between strategy and ex*****on create clarity, accountability, and momentum. They build cultures where individuals understand their role in delivering outcomes and where progress is measured not only by plans made, but by meaningful results achieved.

Consistency may not always feel exciting, but it is one of the most powerful drivers of sustainable performance. While moments of intense effort can create short term progress, it is disciplined and repeated actions over time that truly shape outcomes within organisations.

Effective leaders understand that long term success is rarely built on occasional breakthroughs. Instead, it is the result of consistent behaviours, clear priorities, and steady ex*****on. When leaders focus on reinforcing disciplined habits across their teams, performance becomes more reliable, expectations become clearer and organisational cultures grow stronger and more stable.

Consistency also creates trust. Teams gain confidence when processes are dependable, when decisions follow clear principles and when leadership demonstrates the same standards every day. Over time, these small and deliberate actions accumulate, creating a powerful compound effect that drives continuous improvement and long-term value creation.

The compound effect is always at work. Every decision, habit and behaviour contributes to the trajectory of an organisation. The real question for leaders is whether those daily actions are intentionally designed to move the organisation forward.

Hello Network Colleagues! I hope your week is off to a great start.

I was honoured to deliver the keynote on Leadership Capability at the WA Thought Leadership Series: Procurement at the Edge – Are We Ready for What is Next

This in-person series, hosted by the Western Australian Government Procurement Capability team, is designed to elevate the role of procurement while exploring the critical capability development needed for leaders today. It was inspiring to be part of a gathering that brings together procurement professionals committed to learning, sharing insights, and preparing for an increasingly complex and dynamic environment.

During my session, I focused on leadership judgement under pressure, the importance of behavioural resilience, and strategies for building teams capable of thriving in ambiguity. These are essential skills as we navigate challenges and opportunities at the forefront of procurement and organisational leadership.

Thank you to the WA Government Procurement Capability team and all attendees for such an engaging and thought-provoking discussion. I look forward to continuing the dialogue and exploring ways we can collectively shape the future of procurement leadership.

Hello procurement colleagues,

I am excited to share that I will be attending ProcureCon Australia 2026 as a Procurement Facilitator for CASME. It is always inspiring to be part of a gathering where procurement leaders come together to explore the latest trends, share experiences, and discuss how our profession continues to evolve in an increasingly complex business environment.

From 19–20 May at the Hilton Sydney, I will be taking part in conversations on some of the most pressing topics for senior procurement leaders today:

📌 How supply chains are being reshaped and future-proofed through automation and smarter 3PL strategies
📌Aligning executive stakeholders to elevate Procurement’s strategic value
📌Securing Procurement’s long-term influence at the leadership table

If you are also attending, I would love to connect. Please do reach out – I am always eager to exchange insights, share ideas, and have meaningful conversations with colleagues across the industry.

Looking forward to engaging discussions and the opportunity to learn from so many talented procurement professionals. See you at ProcureCon!
