For generations, cacao has been cultivated, shared and protected by communities across southern Mexico.
On June 28, Don Efrén Maldonado and Cristóbal Córdoba will travel from Tabasco to London to share stories, traditional cacao and the living traditions that continue to accompany this plant today.
Rather than a performance, this gathering has been created as a space for sharing the ancestral wisdom, listening and reflection around the roots of cacao and the people who continue to care for it.
Over the past weeks, many people have helped make this encounter possible.
Friends opened doors. Community members shared ideas. Supporters offered their time.
Our dear hermanita who has been a lovely supporter since the beginning.
Among those who stepped forward was Karen Rinpoche from , who generously offered her beautiful indoor-outdoor sanctuary in Surrey, allowing this gathering to unfold in a space that feels deeply aligned with its intention.
For that, we are profoundly grateful.
Attendance will be intentionally limited, and several places have already been reserved.
Alongside the London gathering, we will also host an online conversation with Don Efrén on June 30 for those joining from elsewhere in the world.
