A fantastic final day for our 2025 Herefords Australia Future Leaders & Breeders Study Tour!

We wrapped up the tour with a visit to Teys Tamworth, beginning with a warm welcome and induction from the Teys and Woolworths Greenstock teams.

After splitting into four groups, participants rotated through a series of sessions, including a presentation from Woolworths Greenstock on grids, carcase types and breeds, and an introduction to Teys from Matt Beattie.

Each group then toured the slaughter floor for an up-close look at the process, followed by a visit to the boning room to see how product breakdown and processing are managed. We also watched a live demonstration from the assessors on how MSA assessments are completed 🥩

After a quick farewell photo on the Teys lawn, we headed back into town for a farewell luncheon at the Powerhouse Hotel, Tamworth.
