Did you know that South Korea has launched easier DIGITAL NOMAD VISA eligibility?

The F-1-D visa, also known as the “workation” visa, officially became available on June 30. It allows foreign professionals employed by overseas companies to live in South Korea while working remotely, without needing to be employed by a Korean company which sets apart from traditional work visas.

Following a pilot program that ran from January 2024 through May 2026, South Korea has relaxed and refined the requirements to make the visa more accessible and appealing to international remote workers. The updated program offers professionals a new opportunity to work, live, and experience South Korea for an extended period while maintaining their overseas careers.

Not every viral visa headline tells the whole story. 👀

Over the past few weeks, many posts have claimed that Thailand has already reduced its visa-free stay from 60 days to 30 days.

Here’s the current situation:

✅ Thailand has proposed reducing the visa-free stay to 30 days.
✅ However, the change has NOT YET taken effect.
✅ The measure is still awaiting publication in the Royal Gazette.

As of now, eligible travelers — including Australians 🇦🇺 — can still enter Thailand under the 60-day visa exemption.

If you’re planning a trip, relocating, or exploring longer-term options like the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), make sure you’re relying on official updates — not just social media posts.

📌 Check our DTV Guide in Highlights if you’re considering a longer stay.

🇰🇭 Cambodia is becoming more than a tourism destination.

For years, many people have viewed Cambodia mainly through its history and temples.

But behind the scenes, the country is transforming into an emerging business and lifestyle destination. 🌏

Why are some Australians starting to look at Cambodia?
💰 Lower cost of living compared to many Western countries
📈 Emerging investment opportunities as the economy develops
🏗️ Rapid infrastructure growth improving connectivity and business potential
🌏 ASEAN access connecting Cambodia to wider Asian markets

Cambodia’s economy is projected to grow around 6% in 2025, with continued development across key sectors.

At the recent ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, Australia and Cambodia highlighted cooperation in:
⚡ Clean energy — supporting Cambodia’s transition toward more sustainable energy sources
🌾 Agriculture & food security — strengthening cooperation in one of Cambodia’s key economic sectors
🎓 Education & skills development — supporting workforce growth and future opportunities
📊 Trade & investment — encouraging stronger economic links between both countries

The bigger picture?

As Cambodia continues developing, it is becoming a market that Australian businesses, investors, and future residents are starting to pay closer attention to.
