These are one of the many reasons we chose to support Staffy and Bully Breed Rescue Inc.
The kindness, love, and patience to help bring a sweet dog back from the brink takes just about everything you have.

She was found dumped by a local riverbank.
Alone. Unchipped. And barely holding on.
This is Gwen.
Around 8 years old, Gwen should weigh closer to 30kg — she weighs just 12.9kg. She was severely dehydrated, covered in hot spots, and had an open wound to her head. Her condition tells a story no dog should ever have to live through.
Right now, survival comes first.
Gwen is on a strict re-feeding program, receiving very small meals as her body relearns nourishment. She’s resting in a quiet, confined space so she doesn’t burn precious calories — giving her frail body the chance to sleep, stabilise and begin to heal.
She’ll remain in temporary foster care for the coming week while we monitor her closely and make sure she gets through this critical stage. And despite everything, Gwen is already showing us something important — she’s a fighter.
We’re incredibly grateful the Rangers reached out and gave her this chance.
This is the beginning of Gwen’s journey.
Slow. Careful. And finally, safe. 🤍
