Penrith Return and Earn will be closed Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

We will be open as usual on Tuesday, 7 April 2026 for you to return all your holiday cans and bottles.

Garth owns a lawnmowing business in Colyton. He's been recycling bottles and cans ever since Return and Earn started.

He pops into our Penrith depot about every three weeks and says the friendly service and helpfulness of the guys working there is very good. (Thanks - we always try to give service with a smile)

He uses the funds for his Grandchildren and also likes that it shows them the benefit of recycling and doing things for the environment.

We appreciate Garth and everyone else who uses our drive-in depot, as every time you collect all your 10c, you are also helping Vinnies as we also get paid a processing fee from the scheme.

Blake is one of our local business people who uses our drive-in automated Return and Earn depot in Penrith.

He collects containers at his two Plus Fitness centres and the funds he generates go back into the work he does within the community and charities.

Mark is a regular at Penrith, the containers he collects help raise a little extra cash to supplement his fixed pension income. He has his own personal health challenges, so the funds he collects from the Return and Earn program are very welcome. Mark is one of many local people doing it tough and the support that he can derive from the Return and Earn program and St Vincent De Paul Society is very helpful.

Our depot is here to help the community and make it quick easy to collect your 10c deposit. Even though we pay back the full 10c, Vinnies still gains as we are paid a processing fee by the scheme. So by simply using our depot you are also supporting our work in the community.

You've been returning, we have all been earning ♻️

Penrith Return and Earn has just reached a massive milestone with over 80 million containers processed! 🎉

This means that since opening we have paid out over $8 million in refunds to the local Penrith community. Plus by simply using our Vinnies operated depot to collect your refunds, you have been helping to support our good work and we're able to further assist those in need.

Vinnies needs volunteers to help in our Penrith Return and Earn depot, could this be you?

By volunteering, you’ll be joining a friendly team, learn new skills, work in a positive environment dealing direct with the public, and be helping to make a difference to those in the community who need it most.

We have a range of roles within our depots, including customer services, forklift drivers, pick-up and delivery drivers, store person and general duties.
