A great update on how International Travel is slowly restarting in countries such as the UK, US, EU and Australia.
For many, getting vaccinated is offering us the chance to roam again. Here in Australia, it seems to be that way, as the Prime Minister has set a target of 70% to safely exit lockdown and restrictions.
Leading to the real concept of a vaccination passport.
How are you navigating the new travel protocols?
Travel is slowly starting to reignite in many countries around the world, and it is interesting to see how governments are managing their citizens travelling internationally. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the UK, they have recently announced a traffic light system that rates countries as green, amber and red, and there are a different set of rules around quarantine and testings depending on the rating 🚦⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
US travellers are able to visit many countries around the world, but are required to show a negative test before returning to the US. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Australia's borders remain firmly closed for citizens travelling internationally outside of Australia. Only those with a government exemption are able to leave the country.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The European Union has introduced EU Digital COVID Certificates to help ease the movement of Europeans across countries in the union. However regulations and restrictions change weekly and the certificate is not a free pass to travel to all countries around the region. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Keeping up to date with ever-changing rules and restrictions, requirements for testing, quarantine and vaccinations can be confusing, and if you are in a position to be travelling we encourage you to check in with government sources from your country of origin and destination, as well as checking any airline requirements. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
