One of our first project handovers, and what an iconic place to begin.

Delivered at Level 44 of Harry Seidler's Grosvenor Place, this full-floor workplace fitout for a leading interactive entertainment company brought previously separate tenancies together into one connected, high-end environment overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Executed in a live building environment, the project required careful coordination of approvals, staged delivery and managing evolving design requirements, while remaining well within budget.

The workplace balances experience, functionality and wellbeing; from iridescent glazing inspired by the client’s brand identity, to recycled cork flooring, and thoughtfully integrated breakout and focus spaces.

A rewarding milestone for the Cerulean team.

Sense Projects, Hammond Studio Pty Ltd, DBS Consulting Australia, MBMPL Pty Ltd, Hontas Hatzi & Co, GROUP DLA, BCA Performance, E-LAB Consulting

The crane is up.

After due interrogation of the structure by the Head Contractor and the Project Team, an optimum construction methodology path emerged, a rooftop tower crane lifting concrete elements out whole.

The result is six months saved on programme, materially less public disruption, and a rig in place to support the jump-form system for the new core.
Installation ran across three-night shifts under approved permits and traffic management plans, with York Street shut down each night. A Grove GMK6300L-1 placed a prefabricated grillage with 45 tonnes of ballast, engineered off site, surveyed into position with the precision of adult Lego.

A small thing we enjoyed, the language: mast, jib, boom, ballast, slew, topping out, every term lifted from sailing. The trade still talks like it's working a deck.

Delivery by . Structural methodology by . Demolition down the core begins now.

In April, we had the pleasure of Year 12 student Gemma joining us for a day of learning all things Client-Side Project Management. Studying Design & Technology for her HSC and with an interest in Built Environment it was a great opportunity to see projects in real life.

The day involved site visits to some of our active projects, enjoying getting to see a broad spectrum of project delivery. We were able to see our office fit out at Grosvenor Place, our heritage refurbishment project at the Rocks and our change of use project at 39 York St. Asking lots of great questions throughout it was also an opportunity for the Cerulean team to share their experiences and knowledge.

We thoroughly enjoyed having Gemma in the office with us and hopefully we’ve managed inspire another young person to pursue a career in the industry!

What a week in Adelaide for AHICE 2026 and the Design Inn Symposium.

At AHICE, conversations were particularly timely, with significant discussion around the geopolitical landscape and its impact on the sector, alongside an engaging address from South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas.
As always, the energy in the room was a reminder of why this industry is so special, built on people, relationships, and genuine connection.

At Design Inn, the focus turned to the future of hospitality design; from an insightful SHAPE masterclass on hotel refurbishment to thought-provoking sessions on the integration of AI into design processes. We also had the pleasure of hearing from RELOVE, a circular economy initiative we've recently partnered with on one of our projects (more on that soon!).

We left Adelaide inspired and grateful for the conversations had.

• Lead Consultant and Client Representative for Invictus

Heritage hospitality projects such as this require a careful balance between preserving historic character and delivering contemporary guest experiences, and we look forward to seeing the next chapter of this landmark property take shape.
