A post can look quiet on social and still be doing more work than you think 👀

As social content becomes more visible in Google and AI search, likes and comments are only part of the picture. For recruitment agencies, good content can keep building visibility long after you hit publish.

Moving from contingency to retained or subscription recruitment means asking clients to buy in earlier, so your marketing has to earn that confidence before the sales conversation begins.

If your website still leads with “great database” and “fast delivery”, your consultants are being asked to sell a premium service with very ordinary proof.

Clear processes, strong case studies, transparent reporting and a well-defined commercial value all help clients understand why the model is different and worth the commitment.

Getting your marketing stage wrong is where the problems start.

A 1-person recruiter does not need an enterprise content machine. A 30-person agency cannot rely on the odd LinkedIn post and a website last updated in 2021.

The right marketing strategy depends on where your agency is now, not where you want it to be in 12 months.

For recruitment agencies, that means knowing when to focus on visibility, when to build consistency, and when marketing needs to become a proper pipeline-generating function.

We’ve broken it down in the full blog.

🔄️ Your marketing ecosystem is broken if these three discovery channels aren't working together:

SEO (Google Search) - prospect searches "recruitment agencies [your sector]"

AEO (Answer Engines) - prospect asks Perplexity "what should I look for in a recruiter?"

GEO (Generative AI) - prospect asks ChatGPT "best healthcare recruiters in my area"

Most agencies optimise for one. The ones winning in 2026 optimise for all three simultaneously.

See what a cohesive marketing strategy actually looks like.

The hiring game has changed.

Top candidates aren't opening job boards first. They're scrolling, consuming content, and forming opinions about brands - long before they're ready to make a move.

By the time they're actively looking, they already know who they want to work with.

Is your recruitment agency one of them?

At Prominence, we help recruitment agencies show up consistently and strategically - so you're front of mind when the moment matters.

Every recruitment business says they deliver great results. But in a competitive market, saying it is not enough. You need to be able to prove it.

On Wednesday 15th July at 1pm BST, Julie Saul and Tom Burkinshaw will be joining TEAM Network for a LinkedIn Live session:

The Power of Proof: How Recruitment Businesses Win More Clients

They’ll be sharing practical strategies to help recruitment businesses build trust, strengthen their reputation and turn success stories, testimonials and client feedback into a more powerful sales tool.

Whether you’re a solo recruiter, start-up agency or established recruitment business, this session will give you practical ideas to help you stand out and win more work without competing on price.

Most marketing agencies will tell you they can handle recruitment, but recruitment marketing works best when your team actually understands the nuances of the industry, and also country.

Based on four continents, our Account Managers are former recruiters and in-house recruitment marketers, which means they already understand PSLs, retained search, contingency recruitment, candidate attraction, client attraction and the pressure of keeping a desk moving.

That knowledge is not a nice bonus. It changes the quality of the strategy, the content and the results.

Looking for a marketing partner that already speaks recruitment?

Most recruitment agencies are stuck in a cycle. New website one month, paid ads the next, a podcast launch, a LinkedIn push…

Each one promising results and operating independently.

Here's the uncomfortable truth: fragmented marketing doesn't compound. It just creates noise.

The best-performing recruitment firms aren't doing more marketing. They're doing fewer activities, better, with complete alignment across SEO, AEO, and GEO.

We've written a guide on building a true marketing ecosystem - the kind that actually compounds growth over time.

What do recruitment marketing and growth advisory have in common? 🤔

Last week, Tom Burkinshaw and Julie Saul spent time with the teams at Imperium Recruitment and Imperium Automation, working through strategy, growth plans and what really sets the business apart.

Tom focused on the marketing strategy for the Group launch, as well as the national and international growth plan alongside Tim Bradley. Meanwhile, Julie spent time with Samantha Hincks, Holly Bee and Scott Foster, exploring recruitment processes, sales focus and the team’s unique value proposition.

There were some real lightbulb moments along the way.

When you are immersed in your own business every day, it can be easy to overlook the things that make you genuinely different. Taking the time to step back, challenge thinking and dig into those strengths can be incredibly valuable.

We’re excited to be part of the next stage of Imperium’s journey and look forward to seeing what comes next.

To find out more about the value of refining your business operations, get in touch with Julie Saul.
