🚨 BREAKING: A small aircraft crashed into a skyscraper in Beijing, China, today, June 26, with several people reported injured, according to early reporting from The Express and others.

Initial reports indicate the building struck was the CITIC Tower, also known as the "China Zun," a 109-story supertall in Beijing's Guomao central business district and the tallest building in the city. Images and video from the scene reportedly show a hole near the top of the tower where the aircraft hit, with debris falling onto an overhang on the building's facade and down to the street below. The rest of the structure appears, at first glance, to be largely intact.

Footage circulating from the scene reportedly shows the small plane broken into two pieces, with its tail on the ground near the building and part of a wing lying on a nearby road. Several people are said to have been injured, with images showing victims being treated and led from the area.

Inside the tower, people were quickly evacuated. Video reportedly shows workers hurrying down stairwells and out of the building as sirens sounded and traffic backed up around the scene. Officials and first responders cordoned off the area.

The cause of the crash is not yet known and is under investigation. Many details, including exactly what type of aircraft was involved, how many people were hurt, and how a small plane came to strike the building, have not yet been confirmed by official sources.

Amazing Fly-by.

A Boeing 777 freighter bound for Qatar pulled off a stunning low pass over the runway at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Jet Center in Texas, and the video has been spreading fast across social media.

Flight-tracking data showed just how low it went. ADS-B telemetry reported a raw figure of about 950 feet above sea level, and once adjusted for local air pressure and the airport's elevation, observers estimated the widebody passed just feet above the runway.

The jet itself has an interesting backstory. It first flew as a Boeing 777-200LR passenger plane for Delta Air Lines before being retired. Instead of heading to the boneyard for good, it got a second life through a passenger-to-freighter conversion by Mammoth Freighters, the company turning retired 777s into long-range cargo haulers. Freshly repainted in Qatar Airways Cargo colors, it's part of an order Qatar placed as the launch customer for the Mammoth 777-200LRMF program.

Low passes like this always spark debate in the aviation community over safety and whether such maneuvers belong outside of sanctioned displays. It isn't yet clear who authorized the pass or whether any review will follow.
