Following Australia's achievement of exceeding AUD 1 billion in annual formal remittances to Pakistan, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the next phase of strengthening the AustraliaโPakistan remittance corridor through policy dialogue, digital innovation, enhanced efficiency, and stronger collaboration between governments, regulators, financial institutions and industry.
Discussions also focused on practical initiatives to improve customer experience, encourage greater use of formal remittance channels, and further enhance the contribution of remittances to the economies of both Australia and Pakistan.
ARCPA sincerely appreciates the valuable time, encouragement and constructive engagement of His Excellency the High Commissioner and the Consul General. We also acknowledge the continued support of the High Commission for Pakistan in Australia in engaging with industry stakeholders on matters of strategic importance.
