REFLECTION TIME!
this year was so amazing! The absolute pride and joy flowing through each of the events brings the utmost delightfully effervescent feeling in my heart! Thanks to everyone at Coastal Twist Festival for making the pride of the Central Coast known!
On the Friday, I was lucky enough to perform and MC the HALLOQWEEN youth dance party. Seeing so many kids able to be and express themselves in a safe place makes me more than happy. Was lucky enough to chat to some parents too about their kids and what comes next in their little rainbow future. Life’s a journey and we just need to embrace it 🙂
On the Monday we had the Coastie Carnie Fair Day! As the biggest dog on the Central Coast, it was my duty to wrangle those pooches in the Pupparazzi Pooch parade, and boy what fun we had! Was great to see so many people out with their lovely hounds dressed up and feeling themselves!
After that, I performed in and hosted the Local Legends show. After a few hiccups and some fun ad-lib, we turned out a show of our fabulous local Kings and Queens for a dazzling set!
I then moved onto the Rainbow Families area where myself and my lovely helpers (Amanda and Tracey(THANK YOU)) played pin the wig on the drag queen, musical statues and karaoke with all our littlies. My god, they’re lots of fun! I even hung back after my job was over to help read her amazing books to the kids!
All-in-all it was an amazing experience (minus the sunburn) and would do it all again in a heartbeat.
See you at the Twist next year!
