Did you know that early and consistent engagement with injured workers can dramatically improve return-to-work outcomes and reduce claim costs?

In Australia, psychological injuries are on the rise, and claims that aren’t managed proactively can take significantly longer to resolve. Emerging frameworks like the PIEF Personal Injury National Standards are setting a clear benchmark for what quality case management looks like, and the organisations that adapt are already seeing better recovery, lower risk, and more satisfied employees.

Modern case management is about:
- Engaging workers early and consistently
- Tracking every decision and communication
- Supporting both physical and psychological recovery
- Measuring outcomes that matter, not just tasks

The below carousel breaks down what good case management looks like today and how organisations can implement it in line with PIEF standards. Swipe through to see actionable insights and practical approaches you can start applying immediately.

Returning to work after a workplace injury is rarely straightforward, yet it’s a challenge most organisations face every year. 2026 is no different.

Recent insights presented by Corey Grandin, Director of Industries and High-Risk Work at Safe Work Australia, highlight why understanding the human side of workplace injury is critical.

In Australia during 2024, 188 workplace fatalities and around 150,000 serious compensation claims occurred, concentrated in high-risk industries like transport, construction, and healthcare.

For the workers behind these numbers, returning to work isn’t limited to physical recovery; structured support, clear communication, and meaningful opportunities have a measurable impact on outcomes.

Psychological injuries take significantly longer to resolve and often receive limited support. Perception gaps between employers and workers can slow recovery, even when organisations believe they are doing everything right.

These findings, released in Nov 2025, show that helping injured workers get back on track requires understanding, planning, and real support.

Is your safety program performing above or below industry benchmarks?

It is impossible to improve what you cannot measure.

While every organisation is different, the data consistently shows that structured safety programs achieve between a $4 and $6 return for every $1 invested.

We’ve compiled the latest industry data and GERI findings to help you pressure-test your own assumptions. Whether it’s reducing administrative effort by 80% or benchmarking against a proven $5.81 return on workplace health initiatives, this guide provides the evidence you need to move the needle.

What happens to your bottom line when you reduce your incident rate from 4.6 to 1.0?

For Harmon, it resulted in approximately $330,000 in annual savings. But the real value isn’t limited to the dollars saved, it’s also in the visibility gained.

When you move away from manual tracking, you stop looking backward and start identifying hazards before they escalate.

Organisations like the Sayfa Group have seen a 300% increase in reported events by making the process easier for their teams. This shift allows you to address risks in real time, rather than managing the aftermath of an injury.

Our latest guide breaks down the math behind these outcomes and provides a framework for measuring what actually matters in your safety program. Visit https://hubs.li/Q04010jv0

"I don't think there's anything quite like Solv for injury management".

That is the verdict from Jerry Barrett, Workplace Health and Safety Manager at Ngaanyatjarra Council - Aboriginal Corporation. This wasn’t a lucky guess for him because Jerry has actually brought Solv into businesses he has worked at before. He knew exactly what the system could do for an organisation struggling with data.

When he joined the Council, he inherited 40 years of records that he described as "complete anarchy". We are talking about four decades of anecdotal files, spreadsheets, and emails scattered across some of the most remote communities in Australia.

So, he needed to find the truth behind historical claims that had no clear timeline or record.

By implementing Solv, he turned that chaos into a single source of truth where every note and timeline detail is captured in one place to make managing complex legal claims "outstandingly easy".

Jerry’s experience is the ultimate proof that when you have seen what Solv can do, you don't go back to spreadsheets.
